Hey Dwyrin, I subbed to you years back when I was playing Go. One of your new vid's popped up in my suggested feed and I rediscovered how fantastic you are. I then jumped on to KGS for the first time in a couple years. Now, somehow in two days of playing, I'm a higher level then I've ever been (9k - first time I hit single digits and hopefully on the up!).
I want to thank you for inspiring me to start playing again. Your content is awesome.

Not right in the general sense. Something I never heard you mention (although you speak about the topic often) is how exactly one eye vs no eye behaves.
Here's the golden rule of one eye vs no eye:
In a capturing race between a group with one eye and a group with no eye, only the group with the eye can count shared liberties.
That's it. This explains everything. Think about it, prove it to yourself, and use it in your games.
Yeah, in capturing races with few shared liberties, like here, an eye doesn't mean much. Certain semeais are even *lost* by taking the move to make an eye (cf "make an eye and die" on Sensei's Library). Like you said, one eye vs no eye just means there's no possibility for seki, and it's the latter's eye + shared liberties vs the former's exclusive liberties.

It's been awhile since I checked in on your videos dwyrin, and I'll say you've stepped up your game on explaining moves! A lot of stuff you did before was leaving me in the dark, and I feel you're doing a much better job now.

The DDK in me wasn't following some of the variations, but I always still learn something. Thanks for the game. Even the short review of the last game wasn't hard to understand and my main take-away was that building the shape for White in the lower left is fine if White can then plop a stone down along the side. White never does and Black take the option away. Lost points for White. I did laugh at the M;TG joke, but currently I'm enjoying Hearthstone (translation "2-2 with Rush") for its faster play time and simplified mechanics. If you decide to try it, hit me up and I'll friend you there.
Did you make sure to check the "Auto Tan" function of your video setup? That could explain the orange.
Great intro. Also, I rather enjoy the review-only approach for a less exciting second game.

lots of choices. You can connect straight under easily enough, or just extend up then jump to c9 i think
