That is awesome I'd never had thought to do that . I would buy that 1972 grand torino sport off you. I collect torinos because I have the same car in full size . I'm serious lemme know or we can trade some cars.
I’ve thought about mounting some sections of hot wheels track to the walls, either by mounting the track sections upright somehow or parallel to the wall using the blue tack or double sided tape (the thick 3m stuff, that comes in strips not the thin clear stuff that looks like scotch tape) and then placing the cars to it using the blue tack (don’t think I’d want to try to use the tape being it would probably cause issues in the future trying to remove it, like leaving residue, or removing the paint from the ones with painted bases etc) maybe even have a hot wheels track going around the entire house, or the room at least..
I did posting my carded hotwheels when I was in middle school (2011) but when we got our house renovated I decided to remove everything. I miss buying blue tack once in a while.
I love this just to be safe I wouldn't put it on the wall I sleep next to because I have even torn down posters in my sleep so it's all me lol but I will be trying a smaller version of this! Very cool!
i know that since you already mentioned, I said that on sarcastic way since I also love my collections...but in event of any disaster natural who will care about it, I will run for my life which is more important than anything 😀
Huge fan of the idea, but I have some worries. Will it stain the car/wall or leave a residue? I see on other people’s comments you say “not if it is done correctly”, but what’s the correct way to do it? I really want to try this out but I don’t want to damage my cars, wall, or the cards! When you pulled the packaged car off it looked like the sticky was stuck to the back of the card, I just don’t want that to happen.
I have used this to tack up signs and they do fall occasionally so I would never use it on a car. This stuff is good for Christmas decorations and posters but not much else.
+RC Bulldog Agreed, they are definitely good for decors. As for cars, I can't stop you on that one. My cars have been on my wall for 2 years so it might be because of improper placement or the brand is whack 🤔 Thanks for sharing!

Heh, used to play blue tack when I was young... Believe me when I say young me used to put blue-tack on some of my toys to make it look "cool" like some sort of decal. It was a pain to get it off though.
Thanks for the info. I've been using clear thumb tacks (downside=lots of tiny holes in wall) for my carded cars, but needed a way to display the loose ones. I'll try this method, but my walls aren't smooth & also I live where it's very hot & humid, so the tacky stuff may not stick. Nonetheless I'll try it & let you know if it works. Thanks again!
Rough surfaces work better than smoother surfaces as there's more grip. It's also hot and humid here in Singapore, so don't worry too much. If you're gonna try out this idea, try it with a few cars and maybe put like a pillow on the floor incase they fall. Thanks for watching :)!
I also use thumb tacks for my carded hot wheels and carded/in package action figures.. but the down side to the thumb tacks especially action figures with certain package designs especially heavier items or if the box has been opened before after a while it starts to effect the cardboard, or if the box has one of the plastic tabs glued to it that they use for hanging it on the hooks at the store it will start sagging or tearing the cardboard.. and some of my loose figures I use the blue tack to position some of them on the shelf to hold a certain pose, or some that don’t allow the use of a stand, and to keep them from falling over when the shelf or wall gets bumped or something. I’ve also used it for some of my monster jam trucks to sit vertically against the wall or sitting on a ramp or something by putting the blue tack on the wheels and sticking it to the shelf, wall, ramp etc.. For my loose cars I was thinking that it would be cool to somehow mount sections of hot wheels track onto the wall and then securing the cars to the track with blue tack or double sided tape. Or some of the track loops I have, and placing them on the shelf, or parallel to the wall, and placing the cars on it with the tack
Hi not for me but a great idea , i may try the carded on wall with blue tac , i use command strips to stick up nail plastic see thought tray/ shelf and but my cars in the nail tray , it is alway nice to see how every display there cars 👌👌😀😀👍👍

Over time that will stain the bottom of the car. It will yellow and stain. When you move or whatever you will be patching and painting your wall. JMO good luck
CAN I JUST lOSE THE CAR FROM THE CARD AND TAKE THE CARD TO PUT ON THE WALL?BECAUSE 1:I HAVE A DIORAMA SO ITS EASY TO TAKE THE CAR AND TAKE THE PHOTO AND 2:I LOVE TO TOUCH THE CAR EVERY SECOND..TQ
+Jemuel Valencia Nope! Double sided tape is not strong enough to hold onto the car and also, its too adhesive for the wall. Once its stuck to the wall, it will be really hard to remove the tape
Drifter D I've been doing it the last 2 years for starters lol just means there's no photos of massive collections online. I've also seen photos in groups where people use glue guns to stick them on walls
+James Macey I see! Well, I did mention before that "I think" I'm the first person to do this as I've putting them on the wall since 2014. Also, I've never met anyone on youtube, instagram or facebook (Hobby groups) who has done this before and whenever someone sees my collection, they always get surprised and tell me they've never seen anything like it before. That's why I had the impression my collection is the first to be its own kind, or one of the first at least. Also, I would love to see your collection. Do you have any pics or vid of it? Drifter I wasn't having a go I was just saying that's all. You might want to use white tac not blue, then it Won't Leave blue marks on your wall after and you won't have to repaint it

Heh, used to play blue tack when I was young...
