Coming from an organist and pianist of over 40 yrs, I played with socks on because it was more comfortable than shoes on. I do not think Christ is looking down from Heaven and saying “Why on Earth are you playing with socks on?” The music is still the same no matter what you wear!! Please do not be hypocritical because someone is playing with socks on!!
The small UP church I grew up in sang this as the choir entered every Sunday. It was engraved on my memory. This performance was stellar. The organist gave it the finishing perfect touch.

I will add, indeed, we are called as we are to worship the Living and Resurrected God. Thus, if one is comfortable in a ball cap, no one should question that.
Most dress formally at Moorings, although indeed, we welcome anyone regardless of attire. This gentleman, however, had a skin operation done on his head, so wore a cap to make him feel more comfortable.
Yes, absolutely. It’s become such a popular trademark that members of the choir and congregation have gifted him designer socks. As long as he plays so masterfully, he can wear anything he wants on his feet! (BTW, the organ pedals are not visible during the services themselves.)
Get off your high horse mate. Someone organists like to feel the pedals as they play. It’s the organists choice. Are you an organist? If so can you play as well as I’m? Relax man and try to enjoy life instead of having a go at others.
Beautifully played, love the socks, but as an organist for 50 yrs. Shoes were required by the professors. Now in old age,neuropathy requires Shoes. Keep up using your God given gift, with or without shoes😉

Great playing and singing

Visible or not, no serious organist plays is stocking feet. Ask any serious teacher of organ!
