    finally, someone who really knows how to clean a toilet. i don't care how pretty a bathroom looks, if the toilet is not clean, the bathroom is not clean.

  • @curliegirliehope

    I clean my toilet with only vinegar, baking soda and blue dawn. Before I start cleaning my toilet I put one cup of warm vinegar down the hole in the back tank where the plastic pipe is and I let it sit while I clean the rest of the bathroom. When I am done with my shower and sink I then flush the toilet and let the vinegar flush through the holes and it breaks up any kind of sediments and hard water and mold as well. Then I take one cup of baking soda one cup of vinegar and 1/4 cup of blue dawn and scrub the inside of the toilet and when I brush under the rim the metal and mold just fall off so easily, then I have to put another cup of vinegar in the tank and let it sit before flushing it again because all of those metals that came off under the rim go into the pipes and clogs my toilet up. This works like a charm.

      But a Professional would have treated it at the source rather than just the outside. Other wise it will come back. but hey. Professionals need job security too. To treat the source you must lift the lid and pour white vinegar down the overflow filling the bowl ring and jets that shoot water into your bowl and let it sit for 30 minutes.

    I just use a pumice stone no mess no fuss. A little more expensive yet insanely effective. Your protocol is excellent and is better then the typical bs job of most cleaning companies. If you want to be extra nice bring a pipe cleaner with you when you do that and get those jets to keep them free and clear. You will get a lot less build up in the future. It's also good protocol to get the inside of the water tank its where all the build up comes from. Your solution would work wonders on the inside of the water tank. Empty it first. Great video!

    I do not use baking soda to clean the toilet bowl because in the long run , it will clog the pipe. Yes, it can melt in water, even in hot water, but it will solidify again. How do i know?
    I used to boil water to melt baking soda and when water cooled down, i use that water to clean the carpet by hand. When carpet dried completely few days later, i vacuum. And i can see lot of baking soda in the canister of the vacuum cleaner. This is why i know that baking soda does not dissolve and can clog the pipe.

  • @dracofirex
    @dracofirex Před 7 měsíci

    If the black mold keeps coming back no matter how much you clean the bowl, it might be coming from the tank. You can put some vinegar into the cup thing that delivers the next bit of water into your bowl from the tank, let it sit for about an hour, and flush a couple times to make sure there's no vinegar left in the tank (or turn off the water and let it drain completely). Might need to do it every now and then until your bowl looks clear, then maybe like quarterly to keep the tank clean if you're mold-prone.

      Don’t use pumice like for your feet calluses. It’s a softer one when you get it wet it will crumble when you apply pressure so it doesn’t have enough hardness to affect the Finnish on porcelain. I thought the same. Just purchase the one that is designed for the job and your all good. It works great for mineral stains!! Hope this helps 😊

You want to be careful using dirty gloves and touching your clean products too. I noticed you used the same dirty gloves to open your clean wipes, and clean the outside of the toilet too. You are cross contaminating your clean products to clean the toilet, and that is unsanitary.

    For starters you could do with tightening up the toilet seat retaining bolts! My pet hate..... loose seats.
    I'm a cleaner and take about five minutes to clean two toilets, sinks etc . The black stuff is just a build up of dirt that's present in most water supplies common in old Victorian pipework. I clean surgeries every day so only notice it after a weeks holiday! Check out your taps if they have filters on the end as they also are prone to black build up. Try wiping the end of your taps with some white toilet roll and see what's there!
    For the toilets I simply use toilet cleaner, a quick brush then into the rims with a cloth and leave the brush to soak as they are usually covered in bits of toilet roll!!! Never had any need for baking soda, magic erasers etc although I am partial to a splash of bleach if required.
    Good job with nice clean toilet but must have been left uncleaned for a several days for that build up of gunge.

      It is most certainly mold. I live in a house that is literally 2 months old, all brand new toilets and pipes. Only one toilet does this. I’ll clean it and it’s back within 2 days. It isn’t “dirt buildup” it’s mold or fungus or bacteria or something.

    Great video, thank you so much! As an aside the nuts on the seat are made to be tightened by hand. Easy to reach under the outside edge of the seat and hand tighten the nut to secure the seat. Thanks!
