pretty damn late but her is my list (I'm actually surprised myself)
1: MeMe (i just love Mikoto and this song so much, especially the final part)
2: Magic (I'm surprised 😭😭 I don't usually like songs like this but in the scene where Amane is healing the cat the music is a banger)
3: After pain (hmmm i like the part before the last chorus)
4: weakness ( Haruka ilysm and relate to you to an unhealthy level, it's just that it didn't hit me as much as all-knowing all-agony)
5: HARROW(i disliked it at first then it began growing on me)
6: umbilical (FU-FU)
7: BRING IT ON (dan-da-dan ban-bang-BANGER! tho it didn't it me as much as backdraft)

1. weakness (the mv is so pretty ARGHHHHH it has always been one of my favs ever since i was interested in the series
2. bring it on (BAN-BA-BANG i listen to this for an energy boost and it always works)
3. umbilical (this used to be in the bottom of my list until one day the "fuu-fuu" part just stuck in my mind wtf)
4. throw down (this used to be my fav, but i think i overplayed it haha... pretty flower symbolisms though, also triage better)
5. meme (i love the switch between mikoto and orekoto's parts, smooth like butter)
6. this is how to be in love with you (CUTESY BANGER, also i wanna steal mahiru's closet because where tf does she get her beautiful outfits)
7. half (guess how many times i cried over this song)
8. after pain (doesn't hit as much as it's not my fault, but i love the mv)
9. harrow (lives (especially mine) were destroyed over this banger. kotoko yuzuriha the woman you are)
10. magic (the purge march better, but the style of the mv is so LSNDXHDHSSOSJH HEARTS)
me when i also decide to rank the trial 1 songs for comparison sake (ft. my autism) (also ft. my suffering because i adore all these songs and it’s really hard to rank them)
i still really love the lower ranked ones, i just like the ones above them more

10. HARROW
PUTTING HARROW THIS FAR DOWN HURTS. I am so very sorry. I dunno exactly what it is, but HARROW just feels like it’s… missing something. I really can’t describe it any better 😭 it’s just lacking something for me that the other songs have. But it’s still really good! The missing piece is probably something related to the composing and song structure, which is a real shame because I LOVE Kotoko’s voice. And Kotoko as a character. I wish it could be higher up on the list - but it’s still a great song!
9. half
Fun fact! half was gonna be number ten, but I changed my mind midway through typing my thoughts on HARROW. The only reason why it’s this low is just because it’s not really my thing most of the time. That being said, I still do really like it. Kazui’s voice is beautiful and the whole thing has a really nice and calm vibe. When I’m in the mood to listen to it, I love it.
8. Weakness
We’re officially at the point where ranking gets extremely difficult! I sat for like 5 minutes trying to determine which song is number 8. From this point until number 2, the places are kinda interchangeable. Depends on my mood. Anyway! I don’t have much to say on the song - I just like it. The instrumentals and vocals are both very nice. I also really like the MV! Even though it’s the very first one, it’s definitely in the top half of my hypothetical MV ranking. Can’t believe Milgram made a song about autism guys /j
7. Bring It On
The fact this is so low (even though it’s not really that low) is a tragedy to me. It’s like HARROW - I have no idea what it is, but there’s just something (that’s probably very small) missing that’s keeping it at “great” instead of “my ears have been blessed”. But besides that, love it. Love Fuuta’s voice. Honestly I think I’d rank this song higher if I didn’t have Backdraft to compare it to - because I LOVE Backdraft. It’s my favorite Milgram song hands down. And I wish Bring It On had whatever Backdraft has that makes me REALLY love it. Bring It On and Magic are kind of interchangeable place-wise
6. Magic
Very cute song! It makes me happy when I listen to it. Which is kinda funny considering it sounds so upbeat despite the fact it has such an awful meaning (someone get Amane therapy). But I’m a sucker for songs that are like that! The MV is also really cute. Makes you forget that Amane has been through some very bad things. I think that’s the point though - living in a fantasy world and all! Which is sad. But yknow.
5. This Is How To Be In Love With You
That’s a very long title. But anyway! I don’t have much to say on this one. I just like it. It’s very cute, and Mahiru’s voice really fits the song! Not one of my favorite voices overall (though I like all the voices), but it sounds really nice in this song. Also, gotta mention the MV. I love the sorta life blog style it has. Mahiru is very pretty. I really want to know where she gets her clothes, because I could see myself wearing a lot of the outfits shown in the MV
4. Throw Down
Fun fact, this was the last Milgram song I listened to! As in, I had listened to every other Milgram song before I checked this one out for the first time. Honestly, I really wasn’t expecting this one to be this high up. It’s definitely grown on me from when I first listened! I particularly like the chorus(?). I’ve caught myself quietly singing it to myself several times. I specifically love how Shidou’s VA sings “throw down.” No idea what it is, but just the way he sings that specific phrase. Every time I hear that my life span increases by a month. Also extra points for the MV bro created a flower person
3. Umbilical
I really don’t know what it is, but I really love this one. There’s just something about it that makes me keep playing it over and over again. I have much more good stuff to say on some of the songs ranked lower than this one, but there’s something I can’t describe in Umbilical that makes me like it so much. It’s just really nice to listen to. They put drugs in this fr
2. After Pain
We are now beyond the point where places are somewhat interchangeable! Fun fact, After Pain was the first Milgram song I ever listened to! I think we can all collectively agree that After Pain is a great song - I’ve never seen anyone say anything bad about it at all. Another one of those upbeat sounding songs with sad meanings, therefore I eat it up like candy. I’m having a hard time describing why I like it so much - probably because I don’t know music terminology and as a result can’t figure out how to explain the things I like about it. Whoops! 1. MeMe
Everybody knew it was coming. This is easily my favorite song of the first trial. The loud/fast parts and the calmer parts work EXTREMELY well together. I don’t typically like songs with loud screaming, but the parts of MeMe that do have this pull it off extremely well. Also, Mikoto’s voice. Enough said. Except I’m gonna say things anyway. His voice pulls off both of the styles in his song very well. Bro has RANGE. Also, the MV. Only thing I’ll say is that I love it for the visuals and symbolism, not for Mikoto fanservice. Anyway MeMe is my third favorite Milgram song (behind Double and, as previously mentioned, Backdraft) and I’ve been typing for way too long and if you actually read this whole thing we’re becoming best friends

2: Magic (i like how upbeat it is and some of the parts I repeat constantly, plus the switch from the normal music to the organs is insane)
3: Bring it On (fuuta eats good in both trials, few parts I don’t really like here)
4: Half (after pain and this are interchangeable here tbf but i love kazui so)
5: After Pain (idk it kinda got old after a while but still good)
6: TIHTBILWY (originally didn’t like it that much but i’ve gotten a lot more liking to it now)
7: Umbilical (its kinda alright)
8: Weakness (idk its just. not right with me.)
9: HARROW (was good at first, got old quick plus don’t really like kotoko’s vocals)
10: Throw Down (bad. didn’t like it at first either plus don’t like his vocals that much either (better than kotoko’s tho))

In my personal opinion I rank Kazui is the lowest for my preference, the song was slow for my taste, his voice was great tho tbh, but I think I would like Cat better so far

1. MeMe (I love the switch from metal rock to a more calming voice)
2. After Pain (It hits different, my favourite part was the rap part. The instrumental is nice and I like the lyrics)
3. Weakness (Instrumental, voice, lyrics. Amazing, this song was also highly memorable being the first song)
4.Bring it On (I love Arthur Lounsbury's voice, amazing instrumentals, there's power in his voice I just love it. I love Backdraft better tho)
5.Harrow (Amazon vocals and nice instrumental)
6. This is How to Be in Love With You (AMAZING VOCALS, but I didn't like it as much as the one on top)
7. Magic (It feels energetic, it's cute)
8. Umbilical (More memorable, but sometimes I just forgot about it-)

Bro how can you be hating on Haruka he's so pretty and his song is literally addictive. Plus I'm pretty sure he's mentally unstable to the point that in court he should be put into a special facility rather than prison. If anything he deserves therapy and God is he relatable. Like come on haven't you questioned why the everything everything's before? That crap convinced me to kill a frog by running it over with a scooter 7 times and it's heart came out of its mouth.
