At that time didn't know much about the band, live in a different country and the only record we had at that time was Gap Band IV vinyl. How I wanted him to know about his influence on my music. Very good. Not the most complicated bassline technically, but you got the little nuances and bends etc. in the right places, with a good feel. You can teach someone how to play the bass, but not how to be funky in their feel. I was a huge Gap Band fan when i was a kid, i collected all their records and cassettes
