Will the perk changes to the new Grandmaster Adept version of Loaded Question be enough to make the fusion rifle top tier? I don't think it will given the encounter designs in #destiny2 but I'm still going to want one when I want to pack a punch!

Correction about eye of the storm, you actually don't need to get to low health the bonus just get bigger at low health, eots activates pretty quickly from any damage so even something like a single hand cannon bullet, a weaker pulse rifle burst, or a few SMG bullets will activate it, it's such a good perk

If you have light fall farm for the neomuna fusion and get it crafted I use it and a autoloading explosive light hothead to out dps everyone by a fair margin. Like 1.5-2x the average player

I've been using under pressure + controlled burst + adept charge time in PvP, In my experience so far, controlled burst is perfect for double kills. The first kill you really need some form of charge time help on high impacts, but the second one being even that 10% faster is great for those scenarios where you've just scored a kill and the charge time is usually too slow to get the next enemy pushing you, who's expecting a slower fusion. Finally id like to add that the 20% damage helps push the range out just a little further than the first shot. I'm a big fan of loaded question and hope that we get a buff to the usability of high impacts, they've been in a sorry state for a while.
There are some display settings on foundry that you can change, so that it looks more realistic, and changes the 9999 power =) Though you might want to know!

was grinding for the vanguard auto rifle anyway, but a clanmate wanted to do some nightfalls and so I was able to both grind for that and for this! ended up getting overflow/controlled burst after turning in, like, a couple engrams at Zavala haha

Haven’t played PvP since I got it but my first GM drop was Full Bore / Projection Fuse / Under Pressure / Eye of the Storm / Range Masterwork… so the goddy roll.
Too bad I never have that luck with the best weapons in the game but I’m sure this is still really solid and will like to try it out.
This is our 2nd every fusion with Demo in column 3, the other being the stasis fusion from VotD - Deliverance. Demolitionist is the most unique perk on the gun to me and I personally will be leaning into getting it over an overflow perk. I think the craftable Techeon Force fits the bill better for boss damage, and I feel Iterative Loop w/ voltshot acts as a better pure adclear fusion than Loaded Question w/ Overflow+Reservoir Burst. I guess Midha's reckoning also exists as an overflow-able reservoir burst gun, but I prefer it's Pugilist + Golden Tricorn roll for my Point Contact Cannon Titan build.

Totally understandable. Techeun is really fun too, so it's hard to put down. This one suffers from lack of a fun factor.

I've got one with arrowhead brake, accelerated coils, overflow, controlled burst, and a charge time masterwork. Is this good enough or should I be looking for enhanced/ionized battery? Is the reduction in damage too much?
I'd love to see how this compares to Techeun Force in terms of damage: both total damage and DPS. I have a good Techeun, so I'm wondering if this is worth.

Got two of these with under pressure, one with eye of the storm and one adept with harmony, and it's the first legendary fusion i genuinely love in pvp lol, it's nuts!! The charge time has to be played around really well but when i shoot it usually kills. Reservoir burst is not impressing me in PVE though... really want one with controlled burst instead
Love the in-depth take here but I have to say as good as controlled burst is, I think it works better on the techeun force fusion from last wish. Controlled I see as a good dps perk for fusions but loaded question on the other hand I just don’t see being an ideal weapon for dps because of it’s slower charge time. Techeun not only has a faster charge speed but can also roll with rewind rounds, which to me makes it the better dps weapon of the 2. I did however snag an overflow/reservoir roll and it works nicely.
I got lucky with my one drop, Overflow/Firmly Planted + Controlled Burst. Accelerated Coils/Ionized Battery. Has a handling masterwork which isn't the worst, but I would have liked a charge time MW
EDIT: I think Controlled Burst is probably best for this, because I think I'd rather get a Harrowed Midah's with Field Prep and Reservoir Burst for raids over this since you don't need to find ammo to set it up, and Controlled Burst sets this apart from other high impact fusions

While controlled burst gives this gun more dps on its own i think its worth noting that a large amount of fusion rifle use is in rocket launcher cycles and controlled burst is bad for that since its a perk for when the special weapon is yoyr main damage source. Which is oretty much just tractor users

Reservoir burst is best for clearing, and initial burst damage on yellow bars. Burst perk, It only gives you two seconds which really does not allow follow up if looking for other majors. And if you switch you lose the buff. Resevoir has limitation as it’s only for a full magazine. However, it applies to every shot and can be stowed. For add clearing, it’s not even close. To each his own. If the burst had 5 seconds, might re think the analysis here.
I get what you're saying, but I've found I'm using primaries or abilities for add clearing now. I'm hardly ever using a special weapon to do it. That's saved for the big enemies, where the extra speed and damage would play out more from controlled burst. I feel ya though! To each there own! That's the joy of Destiny.

Great detailed vid. For PVP Glacio is still much better with slideshot + kickstart. Don’t think theres a better perk combo out there for a high impact fusion.
It's going to be really good! At least until the kickstart nerf. I think HIR and either UP or Fragile Focus will be better once all the changes hit.
I Guess my question is Why chase the Overflow + controlled burst when you can craft the Last wish fusion with Rewind and controlled burst. having availability to enhanced perks (TBH Idk what controlled enhanced does)
I got both an Envious Assisian/Overflow, Controlled Burst and an EA/OF, Reservoir Burst one last night and after playing with both Overflow is by far the best choice out of the 2. I also prefered Controlled Burst as Reservoir is more for ad clear and only works on, at best, half your shots and high impacts are terrible for ad clear imo due to how slow their charge time is and their low handling. It worked great for bursting down orange bars and did decent boss damage. Though imagine if this could get reconstruction.

did a GM for guardian ranks, first of the season. Found it fairly easy. Got a loaded question (Adept), it was an absolute god roll with auto loading holster/overflow and controlled burst, and battery and barrel perks are not bad either

ionized battery with overflow gives you 14 in the mag that’s a lot of sustained damage on a boss with controlled burst active
Do the AOE kills from reservoir burst activate demolitionist or not?
If you make a fusion tier list please don’t sleep on Techeun Force kill clip+Golden tricorn. Run that with an arc hunter with liars and you’re keeping golden tricorn x2 up as long as you get a combination blow kill every 10 seconds, blinding explosions, quick reloads after melee to keep up kill clip. I run this with special finisher it’s wild.

I prefer overflow reservoir burst on this. I think I'd rather use techeun force for controlled burst.
In the video, around 2:13, you said Total Damage = Total ammo x Total Damage. Did you mean something like total reserve DPS as one of the factors? Or optimized DPS? That would make more sense.
Sorry, I meant total reserves x total bolt per burst. If you never go get more ammo, and the fight lasts as long as you have ammo. For anything else, like optimized DPS, other fusions (rapids) will be better.
If i wasn’t a shotgun player i would only play fusion, and this one is definently up there for me alongside coriolis force
What is the point of Firebolt Grenades? I saw a hunter throw one at you at around the 2 min mark. Even last season when there were perks specifically for Firebolts, they were still incredibly underwhelming and to me just seem like literally the most ass grenade in Destiny history. Can't figure out why people run them. They do barely any damage, and it only gave you 20 scorch stacks. Besides heat rises, what gives?

Loaded question is ok but iterative loop is way better or really any rapidfire fusion. For a rocket dps phase you can use one like hothead with autoloading and explosive light and while you rocket is autoloading you can get 3 bursts off/ 2 and a reload. It results in massive damage. In a 3 phase nez i had 3.5 mill damage while everyone else was around 1.5-1.75 mill. *disclaimer i am not boasting or trying to show off. sharing this info is to help further everyone else's damage capabilities to make end game content easier*
overflow makes the top of the mag last longer than youd think. res burst is actually better in that regard

Not really that combo is terrible most of time your build revolves around only 1 ability so you only need either demo OR pugilist and also special weapons suck for ability energy regen other than deliverance this roll is pure copium

The regen you get right out the gate is sensational especially if you use the void subclass with echo of starvation that’s just straight advantage. the arc setup will be Down right devious especially if you’re an arc titan. I do understand everyone has a preference you do you but copium? nah do better. Respect to you though no hate. ✌️
@@johndo2761 once again having your melee 24/7 is not necessary and their is a reason not much people speck into strength also demo I can understand for OTHER weapons but this is a high impact that isn’t mean to be used for add clear if you want a demo fusion use the one from vow of the disciple…..

@@Legoleflash since I am primarily a PVE player. I used to carry a chill clip aurvandil and it was a fun gun to use but I haven’t used it since the start of lightfall. Might pull it out again just for fun
The zoom rework doesn't really do all too much on fusions though, no? I thought zoom wasn't good because of the range but for the AA bonus it inherently gives?
We’re honestly not sure what will happen. It was good for both, so yeah, more zoom will be good but zoom already doesn’t do much on fusions (magnification does, but there aren’t any high impact fusions with rangefinder except sunset ones)
Get this, my adept roll was smallbore, projection fuse, either envious or overflow, and controlled burst. With a handling mw, this thing is getting locked and vaulted for future use

i appreciate your perspective and observations for PVP fusion uses and generally tend to agree & fusions are fun in PVE, more importantly, there is some uncharted potential in DPS with these fusion perk-empowerments

I think this fusion is a sleeper for PVE damage now and will become a total beast once there are artifact mods that support fusions in the future.
My friends and I 1-phased Ecthar in the new dungeon last night using the overflow/controlled burst combo. We used Well, Tractor Cannon, and were dealing 100K damage per burst, per fusion.
Only gripe I have is that Bungie didn't copy/paste the lore tab from the OG Loaded Question onto the new one

Controlled Burst is just slightly above Reservoir Burst in DPS, as Reservoir Burst is a 25% buff compared to Controlled Burst. However, Controlled Burst's 10% decrease of charge time helps DPS.
Exactly! Plus that 10% is a massive buff on something that takes so long.

Why don't people use Whisper of Hedrons in PvP. +30 Stability, +15 Aim Assist, and for good measure +20 Airborne Effectiveness.
I find that this Fragment is slept on in PvP stasis builds.
Very good with Osmiomancy Gloves on Warlock, though I bet other classes could have very effective builds for freezing as well.
Seeing delicate tomb as the third highest DPS operation is very surprising
delicate tomb is insane with the artifact bonuses, pair it with Fallen Sunstar arc warlock and its disgusting the amount of ionic traces you create

@@whimsicalweiner use common sense lol. In the video he showed all the fusion from highest DPS to lowest. Bastion was 1, 1K voices was 2 and Delicate Tomb was 3 highest DPS for a fusion.

What I want to know is what is better for boss DPS out of these 3:
Loaded Question with Controlled Burst.
Techuen Force with Controlled Burst.
Cartesian Coordinate with Vorpal.
Reason I want to know this? To pair with Anarchy or Tractor Cannon.
Cartesian or riptide for nearly every encounter in Destiny. If they built the perfect encounter that used all your ammo and you couldn’t get anymore, then loaded question. But that doesn’t really exist.
I got the 5/5 Glacio from last dawning and I much prefer it over this one. HIR making it only require 3 bolts to kill is huge, also I am not sure why but Loaded feels like its whiffing bolts, I have a 85 range roll with both under pressure and eye of the storm and I can't make it work as well as Glacio.
I doubt I'll be using it over Deliverence.

Kind of eyeing the incredibly boring roll of Autoloading Frenzy. I have all these niche pve fusions but 9/10 times when i want a fusion for damage i just grab Xurs Lead from Gold Vorpal Cartesian. And theres always a Chill Clip Riptide strapped to my hip for champions
