AKLIAM LC5 class A discrete opamp review: my champ!

- I've had LC2s in my stash and I was using them in Semibreve, so I've tried them in E600 headphone amp that I've reviewed so far. They were brilliant but they require more power than E600 could deliver so they switched off above some volume level.
LC5s are less power hungry, newer and they are specifically designed to work properly in D-class amplifiers - I love them!

I tried these due to comments on your channel. I liked them so much I bought more, so now both my DACs have 3…. They beat out every burr brown, Muses 01 and 02, Sparkos… every opamp I have…. They are my new favorite. They have not done anything wrong yet and sound great. Thanks for the tip on these.

I kept changing opamps until I got these. I bought two pairs. They are every bit as the video said. No longer have the desire to swap opamps:)
I have been using these Akliam LC5s for 3 months with my Aiyima a07 max monoblocks on socket extenders without the amplifiers cases, they sound excellent! I was very disappointed with the Burson V7 Classics which sounded too hot and muddy making human voices unnatural and centering the soundstage and costing 10x more

Why didn't you like the Burson V7 Classic? this is a very good op amp.
It sounds very melodic and emotional
What is the difference in sound between Akliam and Burson?
@@LimePieMusic I have a pair of V5. These are not very airy and detailed. Most of the ICs beats them. I've jumped on Massdrop bandwagon a few years ago and got them in nice boxes :)
I replaced two opa1612 with two LC5 in my class d amp from Purify. My first op-amp rolling and very impressed with the difference. I you combine the changes and the costs it is my best upgrade so far. Will most likely be more op-amp rolling. :)
Akliam shope also has muses 02. It is very interesting if they are original and how they sound compared to this one. Thanks for the excellent review.

I have tried the LC2 on Aiyima A07 and Fosi ZA3. It didn’t work. LHY Class A dual OpAmps did work in both amps. I am using the LHY dual
OpAmps in my ZA3 mono blocks but have to leave the case open because they are too tall and won’t fit inside with the case of the amps closed.
what's LHY dual? I have the aiyima a07 as well and want to try this op amp
@@rmzidann yes these are supposed to be developed specifically to work in d class amps, though they are quite big!
@@MasterofPlay7 ..I bought it off Aliexpress. They were $22 each. They are big, slightly smaller than the big Stacatto Dual opamps.

Thanks your video are always interesting . I d like you to post some test on a Phono pre, expecially for those low output Moving Coil . Often some Phono pre are really expensive , So it would be great if you test some pre in the range of 1000 usd . 👍👍

I see, that the price for them in the shop you gave link to, is now almost 20 euro. It was really almost half of it back then?
@@AndNaz4820 I've paid 20usd per one, so it was like forty for 2 pieces. It's more or less the same now (I've checked). Paying in euro is usually more expensive because of some strange exchange ratio so I usually use my USD card

@@balan3008 yes but you'll probably need some angled dip 8 adaptor unless you'll leave the case open
I actually drill holes in the top of the unit and cover it with a glass top.. sometimes a completely different case.

@@k4syx They deleted it again....I found the lc5 on ebay but there is nothing that says that they are from Akliam...I was wondering if they were the same as the ones You did the review on....but I cannot give You the URL...They delete it every time....
