      Late to the party, but had to jump in on the age of empires reference. I'll still play AOE2 conquerors online sometimes through Voobly- crazy as I was one of the beta testers 20 years ago. So I'm both old and a nerd @Lucas Henderson @Ferny 44

    Thank you professor. I’ve been doing BJJ for 15 years and only in the last year have I decided to work the flexibility to go inverted. After months of stretching I can finally comfortably invert. Your tip in the beginning about bringing your hips to your head with your leg position was a great tip.

    Is there a way you could pull off a reverse triangle with the Tornado Guard? The position your legs end up by his head I feel there is a posibility

    Question, can I use this guard during white belt tournaments?

  • @VictorHugoVideos
    @VictorHugoVideos Před 5 lety +1

    I don't think my beer belly would allow this move :D

    • @walkingcorpse1224
      @walkingcorpse1224 Před 5 lety

      Nah man, I got a belly, and I'm actually already close to doing this move. I can do Berimbolos, and ya my toes can touch the ground. What actually makes the Tornado Sweep hard is the actual loading. I am still not good at that, I'm trying to figure out what it is I'm doing wrong, what's really odd is that occasionally once I hit Tornado Guard, I'm not able to Catapult, but if I hold on to the sleeve I grabbed and finish the Berimbolo roll, my opponent gets knocked over and it appears to be a sweep, but it's not legitimate, I haven't tried it in competition yet, and I've only been doing it on Whites and Blues. So the next step to try it on light purples, see if it works, continue doing the actual Tornado Catapult Sweep and then move on to heavier grapplers.

      @@Cyborgbjj I agree with you because your a professional fighter, but you must understand most people can't do this move. Me personally think this is a amazing move. I do appreciate you sharing this move, but do keep in mind that most people watching your videos are wannabes!!!!

    • @Cyborgbjj
      @Cyborgbjj  Před 5 lety +5

      I hear you, but not every BJJ move are necessarily self defense moves and need to be used on the street, some are great moves to competition Jiu Jitsu, like this one. Even though, I have before had Guys using this move on UFC. Everything depends on the level of the fighter.

    • @LakunaChoy
      @LakunaChoy Před 5 lety +2

      Qwoptheplop don’t think so brother. Even though it does make the guy lighter, you still need that weight from the pendulum leg. I myself am not very small so I can’t tell for sure. Osss

    • @Cyborgbjj
      @Cyborgbjj  Před 5 lety +7

      It all the depends on how strong you are. For instance, I’m 230 pounds, but I’ve done that position on guys 50/60 pounds heavier than me like Pe de pano and orlando Sanchez. So it really depends on the timing of the technique plus power of your legs.
