Overheal is such a fun mechanic. It opens up so much design space for a midrange, board-focused priest deck, which is not something that sees much play in Standard. I hope it continues to see support.
Priest in general should lean more into its hero power, and this is a great archetype for it.

I do not think that the Shadowtouched Kvaldir + Funnel Cake combo is a bug, or if it is it is one that affects far more cards than just that one.
I played around with Shadowtouched Kvaldir in Wild in order to quickly get the achievement involving it done and in the process I discovered that the effect also didn't quite work as expected with several other healing cards.
Desperate Prayer and Binding Heal also "stopped" damage midway through the effect and healed for the other part(s).
Basically I think what's happening is that certain healing cards are programmed to do their heals in sequence and not all at once. For instance with Desperate Prayer + Shadowtouched Kvaldir, you will be "healed" first and take 5 damage and 5 health will be restored to your opponent.
If these are truly bugs and not just unintended interactions then it has to do with how the game is coded to time these cards as they response. Cards like Circle of Healing, Holy Nova, Gift of the Naruu all work as you might expect and deal damage to all things healed because it's resolving the healing all at once.
It's a bit odd and maybe the dev team might recode things to work more as you'd expect them to on first glance, but I don't think the interaction is fully a bug.

if i had to guess, id say he was referring to the fact that the targeted minion didnt get healed (and therefore damaged) first, instead destroying the adjacent minion as a bug. I would probably agree with him, though technically not a bug as it's just the way hearthstone handles situations like that, kind of like the old onyxia versus sacred trial interaction, i'd say it still should probably change as it's very unituitive and could very easily cause problems.

The new 2 mana spell is so cool. Helped me get lethal 2nd game I played with it in control priest. Helped me remove a minion early in 1st game, also used it to heal…although I don’t think it’s necessary to use in control priest. Still good utility
