- US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller on Tuesday reacted angrily to reports of Chinese managing to make a breakthrough in Gaza peace talks by bringing Hamas and PLO on the same platform.
He was , however, given an easy ride on Tuesday by reporters even when he made questionable comments on Hamas. This was after Miller justified his government’s opposition to the future involvement of Hamas in any government formation in Gaza since the group had not renounced violence against Israel.
The reporter in question chose not to call out his hypocrisy by reminding that the PLO had renounced violence more than 30 years ago but this had not stopped Israelis from committing violence in the West Bank and expanding illegal settlements.
Israeli spokesman Matthew Miller is grotesquely visible proof of how lonely and lost the United State of Israel is today.
