🚨KAYAKER HAS CLOSE CALL WITH BOATERS🚨| Fishing for BIG Crappie on Luce Bayou

- BEWARE OF BOATERS!!! On this trip, I had a wake up call! One that made me realize that boaters may not always be able to see you, and that they aren’t thinking about who’s in a blind spot! While crappie fishing and slaying slabs, I had two boats come flying past well within 30 to 40ft of me! The first boat didn’t realize that I was sitting right near the bank in an area that was blind to him, but the second boat knew there was a possibility that I was there as he passed me at an idle speed just minutes prior. Startling situation, but one to learn from, mostly for the boaters hugging a bank!
Thankfully, I didn’t get hurt and I was able to keep fishing! And after thinking it was going to be a tough day, I ended up with a nice batch of fish!

Nice box of crappie there Will. I see the orange in the dream sickle. What are the other colors? Steve doesn’t name his jigs. Everyone else does. He goes by size, color, profile, and tail type.
Thanks! For me, I like that orange dream sickle stinger tail a lot when the water is muddy (favorite one), along with the white hot split tail. And of course I like the magic bait stinger tail but the clear body with chartreuse flake and black tail (didn’t name it) works a little better in muddy water imo.
1.75” stingers and 2” split tail!

The north side fishing pond behind the Academy in Porter was a disaster. I decided to not put up the video, and didn't want to get laughed at. It looks like the rain flooded out the 5 acre pond and washed the fish out into the creeks. Looks like fishing on Lake Conroe, is ph.....&%#ed. Will is right, have to hit up the lakes up north, to get fish. Lake Conroe, wont be ready of clean for 2 or 3 more
months, by that time its too hot.
Gonna have to hit it early and be done early. I won’t be on the water all day once this heat cranks up
I figured that was the situation. By the time the water gets settled and the salinity adjust, the fish will start to show up again, but most of the time they head to deeper water and they have to follow the food source. According to Keith, he says you have to head up north and hit those lakes.
I’m no expert in that area to be honest, I just try to hunt them down in the waters that don’t get as affected by rain. All good tho!
Yo Will, me and my Homeies, Sorry youtubers, i had to correct my grammar. Vince, Keith and i will be fishing in Porter, Tx, this Sunday, he knows some public ponds, excellent for land fishing. My boat is not ready yet, have to get that leak fixed. Everyone is busy working, and it's getting too hot, may have to rap it up till fall. Talking about calls, Trinity river, the Riverstone launch site. Be careful is anyone has not gone on that one. Boaters are very inconsiderate and reckless and dangerous. People have accidents so much on that river that Boat Us, since i have a membership with that towing carrier, that they have to terminate doing business on that river, it's too dangerous for even the rescue boaters, that i am better off calling the game wards. Being and insurance agent, this is what i do for a living, so naturally, my Bass Boat is 100% insured. But Texas from what i have learned does not make it mandatory to insure your boat for water, its personal choice.

Are you speaking from experience? Because I’ve had the cheap garmin with traditional sonar, the mid tier Echomap, and the one you see in this vid. The one you see here is hands down, way more fun to use.
What are your complete specs of your automated driverless old town sportsman autopilot? Very interested in buying one here in North Carolina!
I have the 136 Auto Pilot, which is 13.5”. It comes with the trolling motor and I added the 403c Torqeedo motor for redundant motor power. Has two 100ah lithium ion batteries which one powers the trolling motor and the other powers my lights and electronics. I have a 10” fish finder mounted on a Ram long arm and 2” ram ball and forward facing live sonar system. Hope this helps!
