not true. The reality is that sea levels are rising, which is normal since Antartica and the north Pole are disappearing and greenhouse gases from humans have an effect. That says nothing of what should be done but let's not refuse reality.
Al Gore said by the year 2000 I think that sea levels would rise by 7 feet, never happened, other predictions said that the north pole should already be gone, early predictions said we were going into an ice age, that didn't pan out out.@@schloops8473

The agreement includes Australia taking ownership of the islands if they don't sink , which they are not, they have actually expanded over the past decade.
So sad for Tuvalu. I have been always fascinated with this island nation and been dreaming to visit it even just once in a lifetime. I love the music, the culture, and the camaraderie of the people. I watched hundreds of videos and still keep watching them from time to time most especially the folk songs. So much similarity in spirit with our culture here in Eastern Samar, Philippines.

I applaud the Aussie Govt for helping the Tuvalu nationals in a time of predicted adverse climatic conditions. Due to economic downturn in other nations agree financial aid can be given to other struggling nations facing climatic conditions while Australia is in a position to provide opportunities to the Tuvalu residents. I am optimistic the Aussie Govt can increase their Immigration Quota to take in the Approx 11k to be a blessing to the struggling Tuvalu residents. Question if the Tuvalu residents are absorbed into Australia . America and Australia can set up a base to avoid any CCP presence in the Pacific region. Keep up the good work at Vantage.

But the question is will the countries with the biggest carbon footprint, which includes China, the USA and India, will actually do what needs to be done to reduce their carbon footprints? The pollution is really bad in India, and in China. As for the USA, they blame SUVs and Cow farts for climate change, instead of the corporate industrial companies who causes it.

We Australians welcome them. Pacific island migrants have shown to integrate well into Australian society and shown their gratitude by working, educating their children here, and being proud of their nation. Many grow up to represent Australia in sports and other sectors. Can’t say much about other groups of migrants who come here to sit on welfare benefits and complain that they hate this beautiful nation. I believe they will settle well and hope they can be proud Tuvalu-Australians!
