So I don't care what your position is on judicial reform, what country you're from or the type of kippah that's on. Gotta love one another no matter what the difference is. How could we define each other solely by our differences? If you dig deep down inside you could never deny it, that's why I'll always care for you. So...

How we managed to survive to most remains a mystery, how the Jewish people thrived it just breaks the laws of history. We overcame the obstacles no matter the cost through hundreds of pogroms and everything that we lost. And after all this time we made it back to our land so if we wanna live together gotta understand. That no-one ever said we always have to agree but every Jew should treat another Jew with decency.

It was "baseless hatred" amongst us that got us exiled in the first place. I find it ironic (or maybe something else?) that we were in the midst of this hatred and division when Oct 7 happened. It forced us to unify. Now we must stay unified and not be swayed by the extremists on the left or the right. We should be guided ultimately by Torah law if we want to succeed as a nation and fulfill the mission G-d gave us to be a "light unto the nations".

On this subject, I heartily recommend a track I discovered by accident (it appeared in my 'recommended' feed) by a British band called UNIT. The track is A Tribute To The Israeli Defence Force and it is excellent - tuneful and forceful without being bombastic combined with a lovely lyric. I know next to nothing about the group but on investigation I see they've recorded a whole batch of Jewish related tracks such as Pesach, Yom Kippur, Bar Mitzvah, Israel Is Real, The 613 Mitzvot and probably others I don’t know about yet. Some of them feature Rabbi Moshe Bryski which is definitely a recommendation in itself.

Great song. I definitely don't buy the hate. But also, sadly, I don't buy into the one half paying for the other half's expenses, or spilling it's blood in the the other half's defense. Wish it could be love in a fair relationship and not love in an unhealthy, exploitative one. Somethings gotta change so that we can love without paying for it. Also, as a woman, hard to swallow the what little you would have me make do with. As an Israeli, was always having to push back on what Haredim politicians were constantly pushing on us.

The pain I felt coming out of yet another funeral of a tzadik soldier ( they just buried his blood because the body is still hostage in gaza) and hundreds of people with black suits tzitzis and black hats were screaming we will die before we joined the army.... if people belive that learning tora is more important than going to the army ( even though its a milchemet mitzvah now and the r needed. And there is definitely a way to make sure u can keep being a religious jew....) then they should be sitting in Yeshiva not screaming on the streets . Such a chilul hashem.
Wish everyone would just spread love
It’s a difficult juxtaposition that many people can’t handle. Yes you need more love for your family and community. But you CANNOT stand down to an existential threat and you must be the men that Hashem made us each to be. The protectors. No need to be loud, and we should have grace in the actions we take. And yes, that means to be the man who does not hide in the Yeshiva while his neighbors and relatives stand to defend your children.
