@Jimmy Walsh there are always these two sides in every story. The problem is that some people always remember the bad than the good. What's wrong if Filipinos recognize the sacrifices made by athletes around the world as respect to humanity? Even Filipinos are bullied in other countries; remembering what the Chinese had done to our soccer players, but why stick to the negative one if there are ten positive sides? Isn't it good to appreciate a good act than harbor hatred and retaliate through bad comments for the wrong one? Anywhere in the world you can see stupid guys even in the Philippines but in general, Filipinos are friendly. I only give credit to the good act that Filipino citizens had done to support and boost the confidence of athletes from other countries. I can't do anything if my statement is not acceptable to people with bad hearts.

Just being honest. 🤷‍♂️Once I departed airplane ✈️ after landing in Cebu. and stepped on the tarmac on Filipino soil I knew it was a special place. with wonderful people NO matter the hardships or the living conditions everybody had a smile a handshake and a greeting welcome🙏 make Long story short !somehow I got lost in the province exploring. Plus my scooter taxi Driver needed gas and said he be back 45 minutes of waiting. I figured he wasn't coming back he couldn't find me. Being semi lost in paradise yet somewhat fearful! thinking to myself where in the heck am I and how do I get back to the township of bourbon. get a bus back to Cebu . I heard some voices I started falling voices getting louder and even louder until I came on a family what must have been an old 🥭 orchard was now flooded and they were using that small area to plant rice. I waved they waved and I said hello hoping they could help me .standing knee deep in mud was eldest daughter even with your hair pulled back perspiration running down her face and covered in mud she was beautiful 😍 she smiled I smiled the rest is history. we're married now We live half in the Philippines and half back in so CAL. I still love America. But to be kinda of corny sentimental Linda Ronstadt had a hit song back when I was just a small kid title of song feels like home to me !and that's what I feel about the Philippines and the people . AnyWho blessings to you your family and the people of the Philippines 🇵🇭 ❤
