Fun memories of playing this game. Once you got past the sometimes frustrating camera and control it was definitely pretty fun, despite how much it deviated from the film's premise. This game and film were a huge part of my childhood back in the day. When I was 11-14, Small Soldiers was my world.

The soundtrack was composed by NJ composer, Michael Giacchino, who composed the music for most of the Medal of Honor entries as well as Jurassic World, Incredibles, Up, Coco, and even Zootopia. As for Star Wars, he composed the music for Rogue One and you can definitely hear his style in that too (:

Credit when it is due. Michael Giacchino is the composer for this game's score. He is also doing the Medal of Honor PS1 game soundtrack at that time as well if you are interested to know. What an excellent composer. Such a shame that this soundtrack is not released physically (I mean separately) unlike his first work which is The Lost World: Jurassic Park score and later ones such as the Medal of Honor series.
This brings back heavy duty nostalgia (both the movie and game). The game was honestly pretty good once you got the hang of the controls and camera. It was neat how the game actually explored the mythology of the Gorgonites and established the Commandos as something of an intergalactic menace that ravage worlds. Only thing is why Brick Bazooka, Link Static and Freakenstein were disappointingly absent.

My brother and I spent sooo much time playing this. And the fact that you could summon a minion to help you fight in 1v1....dude. So many brotherly fights were fought due to this game
The game makes you realize how such a crime it was for the movie not to be adapted into a show that makes the Comandos and Gorgonites real people instead of toys and have them really go to war with the comandos being the racist villains who want to kill the Gorgonites just for being different. Racism masked as heroism is a great idea

tbh, I honestly like the game more than the movie because it expands on the lore of the action figures that we didn't get to hear about in the movie. I vividly remember there being a line in the movie where the creator of the action figures was trying to tell the story about the Gorgonites and the Commandos in the meeting scene but he gets cut off by the CEO guy that tells him he's not interested and the Commandos will be marketed as the good guys.
Could you re upload the stage 5 theme? That to me was certainly the most dramatic out of the songs heard in this game so many memories from just hearing this too.
