- It's that time of the year where we make our yearly fall stillwater fly fishing trek to the land of tank brook trout! We've got our top chironomid fly patterns with us in hopes of a hatch but we're loaded for bear with all the meat & potato fall fly patterns such as leeches, blobs, nymphs and scuds as well just in case! Awesome day guys. Love the action. Question, where they just smaller fish that didn't trip the bobber, it looked like you took the pin away from the setup. If so, is that a different way to rig it up. Thanks again. Love the battering back and forth BTW. Hey Rob how was the snooze on the way home. :)
Hey Scott, thanks for watching! I was not using a quick release indicator so had to pull the pin and bobber every time ... no good reason just being lazy lol! Oh and I really tried to stay awake on the ride home but I was pretty tuckered out and with a full belly so ... zzzzzzzz ;)

Yes, the strategy is to not lose our mat again lol! We forgot it at a lake and then had to wait a bit to get a new one. Sucked fishing without it but we've got a new one now so good to go again ... :)
