This was a lot of fun. Thank you Jay for coming out and visiting our cards shop. Hope to see you on your next trip out here. Cheers!
Great looking shop it' reminds me of the shops I use to visit as a kid
Such a fun time and loved the shop. Can’t wait to visit again
You should check out F1! If your not aware of it and are interested in getting into it and learning more i would suggest watching the F1 Netflix series and the races are absolutely insane! Amazing shop and hope to stop by one day. Love here from Miami 🏝
Love to see you’re getting some love and your name out there
Thank you so much for coming! Chris and I really love our shop and being part of the community- we were so happy to share it with you. Come back anytime!!!😊
Chris and Shannon are next level. Beyond accommodating for my family and so many others. Great segment. 🙏🏼
Also, I’ve gotta say - I pulled, got graded and sold Chris those ‘89 Jordans and ‘92 Shaq. Happy they’re going to a good home. ✊🏼
AND my 7 year old son and I were in the shop when the couple brought in the 86 Fleer box, Chris let me rip a couple Jordan stickers. HONORED!!!
This was my LGS for a couple years before I moved out of state. Nothing compares. Shannon and Chris are gems.
Sorry I missed you Jay. I watch your show all the time. I'm a life long Portlander, started collecting when I was 8 years old and have been a Blazer fan since the franchise started in 1970. I saw them win the NBA Championship in 1977. My parents and I had season tickets. Those Tall Boy cards he was showing you from 1970 were the first set I collected and my favorite. Oh, if I'd only kept them and taken care of them. I had Lew Alcindor's RC, Wilt, Jerry West, Oscar Robertson, everyone from that set. I re-started collecting to relive the great moments of childhood, when you were with your friends on your bikes, and go buy slurpees, candy, and packs of cards for 10 cents, and then it maybe got to be a quarter.
My dad brought me into this shop back in the 90s and 2000s many memories! Chris and his wife are awesome people! Definitely care more about you getting a good deal than them making money. Very humble. If you are coming into Portland I highly suggest this be one of the main card shops you stop by! It’s right off the highway
such an awesome shop dude
Love Chris at Sportsroom one of the best owners in the area. His lady really holds the Pokémon down too. If you’re still in the area you GOTTA go to Hoody’s and meet Tait.
I have actually been to this card shop. It was soo dope. Had a cute dog in there as well!
Brooo...i wish I would have known you were in town...I would have come by and said hello...glad you got to come out to Portland. I moved up here 3 years ago...originally from Chico California
Glad to see a LCS with actual real prices and not crazy marked up stuff
It’s so fair and it’s real good deals
My best friend bought a 1989 upper deck baseball set for $50 when it first came out. He flipped it a year later for just over $100 because Griffey was hot. I thought he was crazy but in the end he was smarter than me on that transaction.
$100 in $T for 30 years is strong ROI
BEST LCS EVER! Chris and Shannon are AMAZING PEOPLE! Prices are VERY FAIR! Selection rules... I have spent a fair amount with them since I got back into collecting in 2019... and I am very RARELY disappointed. (they don't control what's in the box, after all). Love SPORTS ROOM BEAVERTON!
My local card shop! Thanks for visiting!
Such a good vibe.
Oh Man! Wish I know you were coming to town.
Aye thanks for stopping by the twin oaks card show as well 🦾
When you asked if he changed the shop much, he is being a bit shy. It was the most cluttered shop in history of shops when Brian owned it before. It was a blast to just go through a pile that has sat there for 8 years unsearched. He really cleaned it up and organized it.
nice little shop. thanks for sharing.
Love that George Brett!!!
Man I'll buy all that 87 topps packs! 50 cents a pack! Crazy! Compared to eBay prices
The one panini that SOTO Jersey was💯
I'm going to tell everyone out there if you're doing it for the money it's not going to work out for you do it for the love of it first then other things will happen and again for the money you need to buy the high end card's..... And remember make it a hobby.... Nice sport store good looking out keep the videos coming 🏈⚾🏀🥇
I love this comment. Well said dude

Jordan rookie is always going to be the fleer
Great looking spot, love the variety, the prices seem solid, fun layout, and a little of everything - nicely done!
Whoa! This is my go to shop. Been there since Garrett about 20 years ago
Amazing
Seams like a real cool dude
I thoroughly enjoyed this video. Thank you for the content
Glad to hear 😀
You went to high school with Rys???? dats crazy!!! Go Phils!!!
Great video. Definitely a shop I would go to if in the area. The owner is very knowledgeable and the shop looks well organized.
such a great guy
Beckett is always your best guide line for vintage and we used to collect them for the cover I have Barry Sanders from the 90s Ken Griffey Jr first cover on a Beckett had a subscription and all .
good looks on that. When i started around 2010 I would look through the beckett, but ebay was starting to really be the spot to check what stuff sold for. I liked his mentality on speed of checking price quicker in set format
Dope
Vid
Nice to see that you made it out to The Sportsroom. Chris and his wife are great and this is my LCS, actually was my LCS before Chris bought it and let me tell you, Chris has changed it for the better, much better organized and constant flow of new product coming in....sometimes I can't get in quick enough.
I have a friend that lives near there, I may have to send her over to pick some stuff up for me :)
U must
man that's crazy
Awesome to see a great local shop get some exposure. Congrats Chris and Shannon!
This guy is doing it right ~ A+ store
I checked out his ebay store after this
Was looking for the best LCS in my area. Completely sold on going soon.
Nice video.
It’s awesome to see the PNW getting some attention. I love going to this shop. Chris and Shannon are awesome people. My kids love looking at the stand of players next to the junk wax boxes. Hope to be in later this week or weekend.
Yes someone who collect Rhys Hoskins other than me lol
Legit🤙🏽 awesome episode dudes
Jake Lamota. Wow
The card shop the other ones I go to look around all the cards through 90-99 fall out all out them don't we stock old cards on the shelf then around other car shop look around all the old cards can't find them Darren 2020-2022 when you was in a card shop go back a car shop now you will find old sports cards
dude you put out some of the best contents even though you don't own a single big card
Thanks dude. I love what I collect and it’s priceless. 😀
what do you mean? this dude doesn’t have like 500K in value of cards? I seen his face a lot, just figured he was one of those big baller collectors that’s spends 100K flipping cards
Love seeing all that Josh Allen love in the shop... #BillsMafia
We love the Bills!😄💙❤
Don’t lie. You’re not in Portland, you’re in Beaverton 🤣
nice dude, Eric Davis was my fav player growing up, I peeped that Eric Davis, Mark McGuire & Darryl Strawberry auto photo at the jump…..how much you got on that?
This is sick
thanks for watching.
1989 Upper Deck in its early age was about $50 a set. I remember going to shows in 1990 and getting $25 per Griffey.
Can you pin this comment
Was Upper Deck 89 was 49.99-70.00 dollars depending on your local card shop and your relationship with the person running things.
SHEESH! Did u buy a lot of it? what else was a big set that people bought during 90's?
But like he said you better open it because it was dirty back in the day at those week end shows.
@@mojo_sports 89 score ,86 Topps your now Hof qbs football wise,, baseball upper deck and leaf were always the most expensive Topps was always everyone's main stay in baseball the cool cards were the Topps gold cards I got a ABCD winner in a rack pack baseball and jumped up and down my two friends were there to see was like 250.00 Dollar card you sent it in and they sent you the Topps gold set still have it took like 2 months to show up, it was at the local drive through the owner Fred collected cards and had part of the store as a card shop... Basketball had just caught fire and was hot so all your Jordan ,Bird,Magic Shaq was a rookie and his cards were hot especially his send in upper deck .
50-60% of comps -I hope he expects to sell 80% to comps
Nice what city is he in
What did you mean the Shaq was manufactured?
The logo patch wasn’t game used
