Lurrie achieves a lot more speed without a pick on certain runs than most can dream of...Excellent thumb work. Soulful, and no dependence on pedals...Much to appreciate. I also miss his dad's awesome harmonica.
Chicago blues in the small village of Ruiselede (near Tielt, West-Flanders, Belgium). Still remember seeing a Koko Taylor concert announced (a big poster, you couldn't miss it) when crossing the village on my bike in the early 1980s (1981 or 1982) on my way to one of my first vacation jobs. Incredible, the club is still there!
Wow the Genius of the Man!!! I watched him live in Chicago once and his performance and blues are literally going down in the books as amongst the best.. .. . if not ACTUALLY the best... fits the BLM plus all lives mix really nicely in the mix up our world needs all the prayers and healing vibes we can get from anywhere in the Universe! thanks Lurrie for the Gift of the gab with the guitar that well played.
