A good way to save money is melt it then put it through a mold and use that plastic for the parts of the build you can't see (it won't be a nice colour or one colour) It will all need to be same plastic
I feel like you should make one of those as a two-part print, one being a ramp that shoots into the second one which would be a bucket you can easily pull out.
Don't know really anything about 3D printers other than they do cool stuff lol but could you extend that tray to the end of the table at a continuous downward angle then just put a trash bin under it to catch the excess?
Could you take all those bits of plastic & melt them down to pour into a mold? It would look pretty messy with all the colours running together, but would provide a decent way of recycling the stuff.
My 3D printers don't poop. At all. If I had one that did, I'd cut a hole in the table so the poop falls into a trash can with a plastic bag I can remove when full.
It's a bit funny that you need a 3D printer to make necessarry parts for your 3Dprinter. If you didn't have a 3D printer there would be no need to make these parts in the first place. (I have a 3D printer myself so I know the feeling😉)
You implied the problem was difficulty removing the tray from the front, but then you pull it out the back no problem, AND put the new one in the back...
You could have extended that bin to the edge.. Make a bag holder so that those pieces slide down and get collected in the bag.. Like the ball collector in billards.. If you try that.. Ping me and share me the link of your video... 🤘
Would it just make more sense to move the thing to the edge of the shelf and put a bin on the floor that it ejects into so you don’t have to empty it for months.
i feel like you could just lift the original bin out, vertically, pretty easily. this seems like a first world/lazy person problem that was solved by honestly making it more of a constant chore rather than just letting it build uo for a couple prints then clearing it. ig if you're a person who likes tedious things this is for you.
This is my problem with 3D printers, people just become dum or lazy or maybe just try to find any excuse to print the next thing… you just had to cut a bit of the yellow container to get the same result Plus the new container doesn’t hold nearly as much poop
See what you do is turn that new print into more of a slide shape instead of a bowl at the end and you drill a hole in the desk and put a short tube and a 5 gallon bucket under it
Make the bottom bin a removable slide out tray lol
This… I thought from the design it was going to be a chute so the tray could sit freestanding alongside and be lifted out easily. It’s like half a good idea

Yea my thoughts exactly
That’s genius
3d printer users upgrading their printers with the same damn printer will never stop being entertaining to me

Wasting filament to solve a problem of filament waste

You should find a way to re mold the filament and make it back into filament wire
@@Its_Captain_Jack_Sparrow, no, it doesn't, because it is just different collor, but the same material

Yeah something like how a fryer sits in the oil
Looks like a sideway/bendy high heel stilleto hehe
Can we see a printer room tour? Maybe a long format video??
His room is everything-
One healthy printer! That’s a dang neat print!
Now imagine if you extended it and had it empty into a bucket
nah, that make too much sense, let's just make a smaller one that can hold less trash, because why not? right?
it looks like a stiletto and its a beauty!
you could just make a small hole like the ones on office tables so that it slides into the hole and into a bin :)
Hey bro, what printer do you use, I've been looking for an advanced one and yours looks exactly like what I'm looking for
It's the bambulab x1c with the ams system for automatically filament swaps
excellent functional print! 👏😎
Yo the satisfying 3d print guy!
Dude I love you content
What website do you use to get the snake sissers
@@Editz1000. thingiverse I think...
do you reuse you "printer poops" using a re-extruder?
A hole in the shelf below the excrement port to a larger bin underneath is one of many non-3D printed solutions.
I think you can add a little tray at the end, so you use that instead of hands xD
Sweet! Now your printer is wearing a stiletto. functional, and stylish 😎
I feel like you should make one of those as a two-part print, one being a ramp that shoots into the second one which would be a bucket you can easily pull out.
project was literally just print an online model 💀💀
I love how your making the machine make its own diaper
Can you do a video explaining your process of supports and not having to use them?
That filament color is the best part
Don't know really anything about 3D printers other than they do cool stuff lol but could you extend that tray to the end of the table at a continuous downward angle then just put a trash bin under it to catch the excess?
Bamboo makes the nicest 3d printers.
I like that while he was making a new waste bin, he was simotenously creating more scrap waste
You should make those leftovers into a whole new filament
You could extend it, put a funnel at the end of it and put garbage bin underneath it for easy pick.
you could also extend the end to go off the table into a trash can or container
I thought it would be a little slide into the other bin but this also works!
That’s a funky looking high heel
Could you take all those bits of plastic & melt them down to pour into a mold? It would look pretty messy with all the colours running together, but would provide a decent way of recycling the stuff.
Make the lower part(the one printing waste slide in) removal so you can empty it easier
That's really cool and creative, but you could have used a vacuum. At least you had fun solving a problem that you had 👍
Bro one day we are going to be 3d printing
3d printers
You could probably get a shopvac to suck up all the purge but instead of scraping it out 😊
Crazy idea,
Tweak the design, open up the end of the shoot and make it so that the scraps get dumped into the larger bin.
Save them and if you have enough, put them in a brownie tray and melt them to a plate for other projects (200 °C for at least an hour)
You could've made it drop into a 3d printed garbage can that fits in the gap
Might be something to add to it in the future
A sloped end could make grabbing the waste easier.
Very nice solution, I'm just wondering why your printer produces waste to begin with
Bamboo carbon X1, it changes filament and cleans out the nozzle so colors don't mix.
This is actually a thanos moment... "I used the printer to help the printer"
PERFECTION!!!
Looks like your 3d printer is wearing a high heal and I'm living for it
A nice 3-D printer always deserves a good set of heals 💁🏼♀️
Hey can you make a vid on what you do with all the scraps?
My 3D printers don't poop. At all. If I had one that did, I'd cut a hole in the table so the poop falls into a trash can with a plastic bag I can remove when full.
Wow, hard way. Use a hole saw on the table, have it dump to a tray or bucket underneath you can quickly empty whenever
Could he perhaps make a conveyer belt system at the bottom of that bin so it brings the scraps out to him
I would use the old one as a container to hold pieces til it gets full
you should make a little trowel so that when it builds up it's easier to scoop
Make it so the bottom has a small slope that then leads into the bigger container so you don't have to empty it even more
I guess I should actually assemble my printer... had it in the box for like 2 years already.
you could extend it and add a little bit of a slope to the bottom and just have it flow dirrectly into a trash bin
you can use a vacuum on it or put a hole in the table and under you can have a big 5 gallon bucket.
Make it bigger and put the yellow bin at bottom that will be easier to empty than picking up a handful at a time
Bro probably 3d printed his 3d printer 😭
You could even take it a step further and add a tray that slips out to make life easier.
No one is going to talk about how that machine just upgraded itself huh?
I would make a tray that comes out easy. The excrement slide will transition into a movable tray.
Make it even better by extending the exposed part in case you're distracted by other things and it overflows or something.
Solving problems with problems 😊
add a small hose through the table and place an airline an pipe to a waste bin under the table. empty bin every few prints.
It's a bit funny that you need a 3D printer to make necessarry parts for your 3Dprinter. If you didn't have a 3D printer there would be no need to make these parts in the first place. (I have a 3D printer myself so I know the feeling😉)

Should make it smooth at the end and put a tray designed to fit
There is a company that if you sell your filament do it you get points to buy their own filaments
ancient replicator technology is so fascinating. So many things to do that aren't automated.
Printing a trash can for a printer that has a bad one, awsome
Instead of scraping the pieces out, just place a bin inside of it that you can lift out
u should make another smaller catch tray in the big one so like maybe 3"by 8inch? by 2 deep so u can jus grab an go
You should make it to where it has a hole in the bottom of the slide and extend it off the table into a trash can
All hail the broken high heel
Get or make one of those machines that turn scrap print into usable filliment.
They are very expensive or take a lot of work to make viable
Would have used a clean shopvac from the beginning
I’m thinking bat buying a 3D printer is it worth it, should I?
I thought the new piece was going to redirect the poop into the bin outside the printer where he could just pick it up and dump it.
Would it just make more sense to move the thing to the edge of the shelf and put a bin on the floor that it ejects into so you don’t have to empty it for months.
Make the slide and the bin separate so you can slide it out and dump it
Smaller but more convenient, I say it is a major upgrade
You should put a straight scoop like piece in the front so you can just lift it out so it doesn’t curve behind it but it’s easier to take them out
put a hole in the bottom of the tray and put a bag/garbage bin, and have it delispence them as soon as it poops
You should use t tub that goes down the shelf in to a 5 gallon bucket

Usijg a 3d printer to print a part for your 3d printer, my god, i love it
so now instead of a big bin you have this small tray that has to be emptied like everyday? Cool upgrade

I don’t know, it looks like you could just lift it out above the printer. That shelf is plenty high.

Extend it and run it to the end of the table to a box, maybe put a grade on it.
Or something under there, where he’s currently humidifying his filament store.
And it's printed with no supports? Impressive
You should remove that front wall and have it empty into a bigger bin
make the slide longer to the end of the desk so that the ''poop'' gets thrown in a bin automatically
See what you do is turn that new print into more of a slide shape instead of a bowl at the end and you drill a hole in the desk and put a short tube and a 5 gallon bucket under it
