When ever i feel like death unlimited I come here to headbang to it with you dudes. Eases the waiting in vain for the reunion. Epic effin tune though saatana vittu perkele.
I don't know any other song that combines heaviness and melody so well, i love Norther forever!
As late as 2022, there is still a fan community waiting for this band to return. Once upon a time, Nothern competed side by side with the Children of Bodom and now that Alexi Laiho is gone, I think it would be the perfect time for a comeback! The music they make is completely timeless!
Even now in 2024, i bang their music so often and dive in nostalgia of my youth. Check out Warmen, Petri from Norther and Janne from Children of Bodom are in it.
Fun fact. The actor in the video is the singer of a band called Rytmihäiriö. They're currently on Sakara Records which is owned by Mokoma guys. You should check them out!

It's funny I just stumbled on your video! I'm so happy that there is love for norther still! I'm 38 and listen to them since 2000, and have all there albums, it hurts to see them no more, I understand why. Plus listen to wintersun and ensiferum constantly. I'm so glad younger generation is listening to good metal! 🤘👊 keep it up!
Awesome band! Used to be my favorite band somewhere around 2011 or 2012. Quite similar to COB but different enough to not feel like an exact copy. Amazing song too. Petri sounds absolutely evil here, and the entire song is just really badass. Try Victorious One or Mirror of Madness from them.
Should they ever do another gig somewhere like On the Rocks, I'll definitely be there. Saw Brymir there in 2017 and got a guitar pick and a drumstick. Also saw Dreamtale there sometime in 2016 or 2017, but didn't get any picks that time.
Also, try Arion - Burn Your Ship or Twilight Force - Twilight Horizon or, for something new, Eagleheart - Until Fear is Gone.

Good old Norther! Listened to them so much as a teenager in the early 2000´s. \,,/. My favorite song by them is "Betrayed", would be really cool to see you check it out! Respect from Finland.
That's a great song. Not quite as obviously melodic as some others but really atmospheric and epic when you listen to it properly.
This band and Insomnium got me into the more extreme metal like 10-11 years ago. So much nostalgia...

Funny thing is I was looking for Death Unlimited live on Wacken 2007 and I found your video about a review, keep doing this shit Guys, I've seen a couple of videos, even Frozen Angel review, and you are so cool. Another powerful song from Norther is Going Nowhere, this song is included on Death Unlimited album.

Ah, Norther. One of the original Finnish Melodeath bands who helped create the style. Though I feel Petri Lindroos must've been the driving force of the band since it fell apart soon after he left it to be in Ensiferum full-time :/

If we're talking about Norther comeback it definitely have to be with Petri. After Petri left and joined Ensiferum, Norther with the other singer wasn't that good.

You are not crediting Kristian Ranta, even though he was the main reason they disbanded. Actually he was one of the main composers. After Petri's leave, he tried to keep the band but suddenly he lost interest to pursue his business career AFAIK.
@@ixachilanca Sure credits to him, Norther is basically Kristian's band. He lost interest "suddenly" because the audience lost interest in the band with the new singer. I can't even remember any good song from the album with Aleksi, except Sabotage. That was a pretty good cover song.
@@JackM. Is a matter of taste, their last album still rocks to me. As you said, it was Ranta's band and the change in the vocals was not that bad, but that's the thing with metalheads, some are just too picky, anyways I would pay good money to see good old Norther back!
