yeah if you suddenly got the skill, but it takes so much patience to get up to a decent level
I believe that the main components that it takes to get to that level are TRIADS and Major and Minor Pentatonics. You'll get there if you love doing it!

You can definitely tell he’s playing into an interphase but it goes to show you that these pickups are phenomenal on this thing. I know that my noiseless ones on my strat don’t come close to having that spank when into a DI

John Mayer is a master guitar player, but he could and should go more unique (more of his own voice).
He has the skills, that's for sure.
I hope he is evolving forward and grow more of his own, not just getting even better at playing guitar
Morten the cover bands do not have the skills nor the creativity to take srv’s and Hendrix styles and build on top of it plus improvise while doing so...

It's better just to not use words like that. It ends up being a flame war of Mayer stans who think he's the GOAT and ignorant people who write him off as a talentless dbag. In my opinion I think he's in the top 20-30. I think he shows too much restraint (guitar wise) in his albums to be considered top 10.
I mean yeah he makes douchey faces and is generally a douche but hes very skilled. I was probably drunk when I said he's top 30, I don't think he's that good but I do like his playing and it's the only thing I wouldn't criticize him on.

Harris yeah i guess i agree, but technical doesn't always mean boring, for example eric johnson can be VERY techincal but i wouldn't consider himself boring at all. At the end it always comes down to personal preference
Harris guthrie govan is probably the best right now he can play literally everything he wants from complete dumb non musical shred to a nice funky solo like this one
Looks like he’s plugged into the starship enterprise too. Didn’t intend to put anyone down by implying he is the best. It’s just my opinion, not a fact. There are many greats out there.

Strat straight into a DI always yields killer clean tones. Hell, even into a shitty headphone amp, the neck pickup always sounds phenomenal.
And yes, I'm aware this is a PRS strat-clone

That why he left Fender. Listen to other player and you'll hear the tone is the same through a clean channel with nothing on it.

And single coils are capable of the best tones for every music genre except metal and maybe some rock tunes
