E36 - New metal going into the chassis leg (at last!)

Finally started putting in some new metal plates to the chassis of my old Morris Minor. Hit some problems during the welding which you will see for yourself. nevertheless, progress.

you really should work on a bare chassis, much more convenient and effective and ultimately quicker

I agree. I wish I had done things differently in hindsight, but now that the floor of the cab is out it will be very difficult to lift without distortion. The rest of the chassis has good access as the box lifts off and doesn't appear rusty.
