When people say it isn’t irreversible I say what nonsense. We can even demonstrate it in simple animal systems. When you desex a kitten before 18 months that is what you’re doing you’re stopping puberty in your cat, we now know cats who are desexed at this age have a peculiar problem where their hip plates don’t fuse closed and they get taller and taller, most end up with hip problems when they’re older - the reason this happens is that puberty is a biological process itself that tells your body to start and stop other processes - it’s essential for fully developing and I put puberty blockers in the same realm as giving pregnant women thalidomide
