You probably already know a lot of strats that didn't make it into this run, but just so you know : there's a strat that makes some of Pepperman's phases faster. It requires taking 1 damage each time you use it though. If you throw a bomb at the right timing, then get hit on purpose when he charges at you, you can launch the bomb at such a timing that you drop it before you get hit, but the bomb is still on him when you get hit. Since he is vulnerable after being hit, he will get hit by the bomb. You have to get used to gauging the timing tho. Just for the fun fact : I didn't find this out, my 8 year old cousin did, tho I theorized it might've be possible before he found out. I just threw him into the Pepperman bossfight as the Noise without him playing any of the game beforehand (I thought it was funny). He found this strat by accident and thought it was the intended strat lol. If you use this strat in any way, PLEASE call it Cousin Strat.
Just like how the game was when it first came out, I can't wait to see how insanely optimized the speedruns for the noise are going to end up being. The moveset is *just* similar enough, but not quite fully to make it a whole different kind of beast.
You can cancel a crusher jump (up+jump mid-air) with the grab or sprint button, after cancelling, you can crusher jump AGAIN. *Hold up and press jump + shift a bunch of times.* You can throw perfect time bombs that hit the vigilante the moment he's vulnerable. i haven't found any other cool stuff yet
I have to ask how much speedrun tech do you know, just wondering also if you have the fire mouth power up you can use a skip going around in the 2nd cave if you time it just right you can hit Kentucky Kenny right when you get the power up or when he respawns you get just enough height to skip it idk how consistent it is tho EDIT you can only do it as the noise
I tested the skip out of curiosity and it is very consistent to pull off. All you gotta do is do a max height jump, keep holding the jump button and land on top of Kentucky Kenny to reach the stupid rat, you will always land on the upper ledge and skip the cave section doing this, which is way easier compared to the skip peppino has to use. and yeah, only noise can do it because of his floatier physics with the fire mouth
