    I'm by no means a graphic artist, but I have been using Adobe Illustrator since it came out in 1987. Before Illustrator I was creating graphics in postscript, yes, code and graph paper - it wasn't pretty. However, once Illustrator came out I used it for my "light graphic" requirements such as adhoc graphics, images, for business cards, letterhead, etc. When I created in Illustrator, it was more text, blocks, and shading but the majority of what I did was edited and mock-up. That being said, over the years I have watched countless videos on using Illustrator and all were just okay and barely taught me anything "earth-shattering". Hands down this video right here is the best tutorial I have ever watched. So, I have liked and subscribed because I already learned a handful of new things that none of the other videos have ever taught me. I will be trolling your other videos now as well. Great work and I'm super surprised you don't have 1M subscribers yet. I know I'll be sharing your channel with my other "graphic slug" friends.

    This helped me understand the write on text tool a lot better. I did not know there was a hot key for the reflection tool. Just hitting "O" on the keyboard is much faster than clicking up to Object > Transform and choosing the reflection or rotation from there.

    Hello, I am new to illustrator. I am using it for possible tshirt ideas and I found your video in hopes of using your guide to mess around and see what I can create. I love it a lot, but I am getting an issue that even after a fairly extensive google search I can't seem to find the solution. After I create my circle, it dissapears until I move my mouse over the path. I went into preferences to check about some Real time drawing and editing that my google search told me might be affecting it. But I don't have the option of ticking/unticking that. Would you mind, if you can, explaining why the circle keeps dissapearing? The text remains but once I move my mouse or click away with the selector tool, then all I can see is the blank page and the text. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    PLEASE HELP. When using this tutorial to practice the text on a circle I ran into a problem. After duplicating the circle the text is on the inside. Perfect. When I use to baseline to move it to the outside it automatically adds more space in between the letters. It didn't do that to you on the tutorial. Why me? I am sure I have something selected or not selected that's causing this.

    • @KeeponCreatingTV
      @KeeponCreatingTV  Před 4 lety +1

      Hey NHR! Sounds like you just need to adjust the tracking. When you have the text selected, head up to the text option at the top bar of the window and there is an 'a' button which is character setting. Select that and up pop a character pallet. In here adjust the 'tracking' settings. hope this helps ;-). Thanks for watching and the comment.

    Great video. I loved it - but you added too many elements to it and messed up everything.
    I love minimalism and for me, it’s hard to read the text “keep on creating “ after so many elements.
    I believe design should communicate clearly in as much as you want to express your creativity.
    But good job overall 😊
