- A train journey between Bangalore and Mangalore just became a lot more scenic. The South West Railways recently (April 2021) introduced 2 Vistadome coaches that will allow us to appreciate the beauty of the Western Ghats.
The Vistadome coaches are characterized by wider windows, wide rear windows and seats that recline and rotate a full 180 degrees. The wider windows offer a 360-degree view of the passing hills and valleys. Rather than needing to turn your head to look out of the window, we can turn the chair to face the window.
You can book your tickets on IRCTC app. This is from Bengaluru to Mangaluru. Book the seats under EC category.

Timings : 7.00 AM
Cost : 1350 RS per head

If You travel in 2nd class, you will get to see the nature only through windows. But in vistadome 360 degree also you can see it. Thts the difference.

it's not bangalore anymore its bengaluru, and it's officially mangaluru (Kudla) not Mangalore.
not worth the money, only drawback in Vistadome is bad design that does not allow one to sleep at night unless you are used to sleeping on a chair 🪑 sleeper AC coaches are far better for night journeys
