I love how symbolic this opening is! xD While the protagonist [forgot name] is running with all her might at 0:20 her rival is "running" the same distance but comfortably sitting in a car. Priceless.
sofitssofi YES !!! Me too, i've always loved that part of the op. I actually love the whole op & its meaning from the very first second to the last. I also consider glass mask in my top 3 favourites mangas along with nana & skip beat! (even though i find a lot of similarities between the two, glass mask & skip beat!, & that irritates me)
As a great anime reviewer once said "If you are to copy from soemthing, copy from something good" and thus Skip beat was born. Plus, when a plot involving acting is done well you and I are bound to like it :D

My mom recommended Garasu no Kamen to me because she read it when she was a kid so glad I watched this and I'm still reading the series. It's very good and raises the bar for current anime. It's really hard to find a solid plot line like this and Toward the Terra

When you watch this story, (kiss at all Suzue's team), you really wish to find your other part of you.
Imagine if someone love you deeply, madly, with all his soul, remember that is the same as Masumi Loved Maya.
Even when the girl was not kind at him, this strong man Never give up on taking Care of her.

You know, as much as I love the manga, I can't help but feel like this adaption is a lot different in tone, and I could still just by the art style before I watched the first episode too. :p Don't get me wrong, it's really pretty, and there are a lot of genuine dramatic moments in the original manga too, but half the reason why I loved the manga so much is from the mere fact that it's old, that I like it BECAUSE it's old and had this weird, adorable, outdated artstyle that was at times really goofy, with genuinely amusing parts like the Ikkakuju Group, Rei being mistaken for a boy, or the Wolf Girl arc when Maya was acting out the part of being a Wolf Girl even in her everyday life, because she takes acting so seriously, but Rei just think it's crazy, LOL. XD
I'm wondering how quirky it is in this style of anime... it kind of feels like the more dramatic moments of the newer Fruits Basket, for example. :p
Anyways, I really loved some other old school manga too, like The Rose of Versailles, at least until it got much darker in the second half and ended in a tragedy, that kind of bummed me out, as well as Ashita no Joe, although I kind of hated how much everyone was a huge jerk in that, especially the main character himself. :p I mean, I get that he's the anti-hero type, and most of them have a relatively dark backstory and ultimately well-intentioned motivations that make you sympathesize with them, but I feel like Joe's character came off rather weak, if not other people in the story...
Still, I love how both this and Ashita no Joe have like, more realistic versions of taking their profession really seriously and have all this secret training for specific techniques no different from the likes of a typical Shonen story like Dragon Ball Z like the anti-gravity training, or learning how to get stronger and stronger super saiyan forms, and so on. :p It's great. XD
Anyways, I might finish watching all of this or some other kind of adaption anyway because I'm really bored right now, but yeah...

I really loved the anime but the ending was horrible
wkaa 18 exactly Maya didn’t perform the scarlet angel and we couldn’t see how her relationship progressed with Masumi Hayama I was really sad with the ending I hope there’s a third season !
@@venuskyee2156 It'd be so cool! But the mangaka did a break since 2013 with 50 volumes and the anime is stopped in volume 39 since 2006 ;-;
I doubt they'll put the sequel one day even if I really wish it because in French we don't have the paper manga ;-;
Yes... Me too I was so sad to see it end up like this 😭 I still hope a season 2 but in France its so difficult to find... Maybe I will buy the mangas in english TT
