Great topper doing a great job would they not be better off asking less rent and get you cut hedges? That what I do now had to cut back about 20ft because owner wasn't doing them I was getting less field every year so it was my suggestion
"Comfry" is a popular plant with gardeners as it makes excellent plant food, you put a carrier bag full in a 45 gallon drum and fill with water, then when it rots down ,(mind you it stinks somewhat) a few weeks later you strain the brown liquid and dilute at 10-1 ratio with water, and water the plants with it, its a good home made plant food and don,t cost nothing, so what ever the container you made it in, mix all the liquid with 10 times the amount of water of that container size, and you got all that liquid fertilizer,....its full of nitrogen and phosphates, that plants love,..

It was deliberately bought small for the work it was doing at the time, and no plans to change it.

If you top the long thicker grass does it make the ground underneath very wet or mossy while it lays on top before rotting down?
