One VERY important test you did not do with the Note. Magnets tend to render the SPen useless. Can you do a writing test with the SPen on the phone with the OSnap on?
@@hpnotik1888 I got the OhSnap during the kickstarter campaign and can confirm that the magnets prevent me from using my SPen. Not to mention my grip broke after about 3 weeks of use so I took it off completely
I miss this first version of oh snap. better than their 2.0, except for the fact that the adhesive sucked and therefore became pointless. but that was the only problem I had. I might just krazy glue it to reuse it. and it’s now 2022 lol
while I love the flexibility in functionalities ohSnap provides, I found that the ohSnap phone grip is so fragile. I had 2 broken in the last 3 months. Because of the slide mechanic, sometimes the grip doesn't want to slide at all and you need to pull it with quite some force, so after a while, the middle part of the flexible piece started to have bends in it and malfunction. Really disappointed, hope they'll fix it in the next version
$30 dollars !! That’s a lot for a grip!

I feel like they could of incorporated this design in a case and would of been able to prevent the wobble and lack of wireless charging if done correctly.

Questions:
1. How easy is it to rip off the band when you hold your finger in it, twist it multiple times a day for horizontal view and hold it over your head while laying in the bed meaning that you apply all the possible forces on the band's fixing?
2. How secure is to hold your phone when you slide the plate up and down?
3. How many times did that hook unclipped while having your finger inside? Because I will not believe it never did.
4. How does the plate affect the battery inside your phone (both Li-ion and Li-po)?
5. How does the plate affect other magnets inside your phone?
6. How does the plate affect the coil for wireless charging?
7. Is this magnet strong enough to put wear on the phone quicker? Can it de-calibrate the GPS/weaken the Hall effect? Can it wipe the phone's memory over time?
I reeealy like the design and the versatility but the fact that the band seems to be supported only in the middle by two strips of plastic (before you attach it to the phone and before it's held by the tape/glue) doesn't bode well for this thing's extended use.
I'm using MINISO Multi Band-New and it operates on the same principle as those loopy grips and ohsnap meaning that you can fold the loop back to flat. Which also means that it doubles as a kickstand like in the ohsnap.
I want to believe in this product but I don't trust that miniscule hook and still don't know how to feel about the magnetic plate.
Other than that, the design is great, the big surface area this grip takes means it should be stable and solid, the idea of attaching my phone to anything metal is amazing and the fact that you can slide it between up, center and down just puts the cherry on top of that great cake of a product.
Also, it's indigogo so who "knowsknows" if it's ever gonna be distributed.

I like that it feel good on my hands
At times my fingers will cramp up and my tendons will tighten up, and my hands feel tired.
But I can literally slide it up or down, and the loop can carry up to 10 pounds I think.
It’s been tested a lot to make sure that this product is quality and it is.
Otherwise nobody would pay for it.

I prefer the popsocket, after all its swappable and allows for wireless charging and its iconic, the ohsnap looks like i attached a transformer to my phone. Anyway, subscribed!
Looks like Ohsnap changed their design now. Saw and add on Facebook and it’s a bungee system.

Bought the Oh Snap based on this review. You shouldn't do the same. First one stopped working after a few days. They sent me a replacement which also stopped working.

I haven't watched the whole video yet but do you know that the top portion of popsockets can be removed for wireless charging now though?
EDIT: I've watched the whole video and I think it's wrong to do a comparison video but then not compare EVERY feature on all three options. The top of the popsockets can now be easily and quickly removed by a simple click to the right, and you don't have to remove the sticky part ever after application if you don't want to. But once you remove the top part of the popsocket, the phone can easily be wirelessly charged. So that's just something to think about for your next video. Please make sure you are FAIRLY representing all three options if you're going to compare them. Otherwise, great video! I love the idea of the oh snap option. Just curious how that magnet holds up over time.

Popsockets rip off sooner or later when you stick the phone in your Pocket. Recently got my Oh Snap via kickstarter. So far, no complaints.
@@AuthenTech There is SOME table wobble for sure. But I find that only happens if you place the popsocket off center. I use mine directly in the center of my iphone and it never wobbles when open or closed. And I haven't had any issues with mine falling off sooner or later either.
@@schwarec I can't relate... I haven't had any issues with mine falling off. I've had my current popsocket on for almost a year with no issues. And I've never had one fall off in the past. Perhaps you're putting your phone in your pocket more often than I do though.
The scooch is my favorite so far...not sure if I’d want to have to purchase another case
I bought an oh snap. It lasted a week. They’re expensive and too fragile. I didn’t even use it very much because I was afraid to break it. 🙄

I learned the wrong way that you font mix magnet or metallic with phones. WiFi interference occurs a lot. I had a lot of signal issues.
Popsockets popgrip works with wierless charging you should rewiew that as well
My iPhone 11 is heavy. Wish it can hold 3-4 of my fingers. Would be nice. I like how it’s slim though.

I bought 2 OhSnaps for myself and my wife. Everything about the features is fun, intuitive. Another note is the feel of the material on the snap is nice to touch. HOWEVER (and this is a deal breaker), is the integrity of the Snap unit. Just like those old pop bracelets that Ben mentioned, the metal piece loses integrity. After 2 days, the ends of both mine and my wifes rings will not return to being flat. Her's can SOMETIMES get in the right position, but its a struggle. I was really excited to get mine, waited 2 months, and was really happy with it the first day... But now its simply unusable.
Mine is doing the same thing, it will not go back to being flat even though I've only been using it for 2 days.
It's true, this thing is nifty but ultimately a complete failure. Broken after a few days
Backed the project on Kickstarter and received my Ohsnap this morning. Bought unsure whether it would wirelessly charge my iPhone XS but hey, it does that too! Time will tell if there are any durability/magnetic-conflict issues but i can see this being a really handy gadget for the foreseeable future ;-)

I wouldn't recommend it... I had oh snap for 6 months and the snap band started acting weird. I remember when I purchased it that it has a lifetime warranty which is a lie.
I got 2 defective ones, they sent me a new one and that ones defective too. So waiting on 2 more. Hopefully they’re not defective.

iTongue is similar to ohsnap but I think I prefer iTongue much better. It didn’t really get a lot of attention even though it’s really good and I don’t see it being sold anymore :(

Have you tried the OhSnap though? It looks like it would solve all of my issues with the Loopy case (lack of wireless charging, won't stick in pocket). How did it stack up?

The S Pen doesn't work well with magnets on the Note 8, 9, 10, and 20. I'm looking for a phone grip without magnets because they affect the ability to use my S Pen correctly

The one that I received in the mail, does not look anything like what you opened, I don’t understand!! It comes with some magnetic square thing as a protectant for the sticky, the square thing has a removable backing to the sticky but no indication what it’s actually for! The base of the grip that’s supposed to stick to the phone sticks a little bit but just slides around and off of my phone.
The square thing is a sticky plate.
You adhere that to a surface you want to be able to magnetically stick your phone to like next to the toilet or something. It’s not magnetic it’s just metal. The ohsnap is magnetic.
What about taking photos? Can you describe or show how it would work?
I truly love my original Oh Snap! As someone with some severe disabilities it is a true lifesaver to easily hold my phone without breaking the bank. And since I don't use wireless charging, it just doesn't work for me on my nightstand that is in wheels so moves around a lot every day and night, which makes charging with a cable more convenient to me.
The magnetic parts are a big plus when on the go and I need it to stick to some metal which it does securely. And being able to move the Oh Snap up and down makes it easier to make great pictures even if your arm isn't long enough for the photo you want to take.
The new version Oh Snap has put on the market recently fixes some of the problems with wireless charging. Thuey even have a Oh Snap wireless charger n now that utilizes the magnetic in the new Oh Snap version. It's just as flat but still works in a different way.
The only real selling point for the original for me was the slide. Now that they got rid of it, it's just not for me.
Why have to slot the thing of for wireless charging when you can just take of your case

Curious, the ones on the website are different than the one you reviewed. Is the one you reviewed no longer available? It looks like it would work better that the ones with the rubber band that keeps breaking.

Lots of commenters said it leaves dead spots at the magnets. A few kickstart backers just used a screwdriver to pop the magnets if they were S pen users

ohsnap wasn't a good solution for me. it reminds me of the 90's wrist band. it's hard to straighten. gets pretty annoying day after day.

Great question, and I don't think I've had any issues with mine. As they say, "If you calibrate your compass with Ohsnap in place, it works just fine. Also, every testing unit has been used in a car with GPS and has never had any issues."

quick question: i have a wireless charging dock in my car, which is also a magnet dock... i know you cant wireless charge with the snap on, but would it hold on my dock's magnet without the oh snap on?

I've personally asked the website if the product hinders the s-pen. They responded that it unfortunately does and that you would have to slide out the product off its frame to use the s-pen.

Great review! I have an OhSnap and I love it! I've used the Pop Socket and ring and my OhSnap is the most comfortable and versatile. I have also transferred it from two different phone cases and the hold is still very strong. No problems with it whatsoever. I highly recommend it! Just my humble opinion. 😉👍🏼
