Tuesday Afternoon - September 11, 2001

September 11, 2001
After holing up at Jeff and Jo's all day in their apartment in Manhattan, I was able to make it back to my own home in Brooklyn in the late afternoon. It was awful. Bits of debris including burned papers and scraps of material had blown across the East River into the Brooklyn waterfront, where I lived at the time, in Carroll Gardens. I went up on the roof and started filming with a Sony Hi-8 video camera that I was trying to rebuild. This is footage that was on a Hi8 videotape that I recently found in the camera and digitized. For good or ill, the audio track was just white noise, so just let it be I silent.
