      I wasn’t comparing the conferences overall I was just stating that autzen is louder and more difficult to play in than a lot of people realize. Also husky stadium has the college record for loudest stadium. Big10 overall is definitely bigger, louder and better for sure. But definitely feel pac12 and a few programs especially get overlooked historically.

      @OfficialT4GSports  Před 2 měsíci +2

      No, lol gentleman, you don't understand how this all works. Just because they have one good year in views does not mean that happens every year.
      Their lack of views is also why they aren't a full memeber in the B1G in terms of benefits. They are talking a pay cut to be there.
      Unfortunately, you don't know or aren't telling the full story of how they got ranked that high in viewership this year. That was because they played CU when CU was getting all that hype because of Sanders.
      Oregon does mid in views on average. If they did do that well, on average, they would have been accepted in the B1G when USC was accepted and became a full memeber.
      Look up Oregons views in the last 10 years. You will see why Oregon agreed to take a pay cut to join the B1G.

    Oregon should be competing for the Big Ten championship most years. Lanning is a very good recruiter, and joining the B1G only helps. Oregon was already top 10 in tv views before joining, and they will get even more now. Oregon already has the best facilities in the country and has an insane new practice facility on the way. Oregon had the 9th best scoring defense last year in a conference with much better offenses and QBs.
    Oregon will do great in the Big Ten.

    • @OfficialT4GSports
      @OfficialT4GSports  Před 2 měsíci

      They were not top ten on average. Only after playing CU and we all know about that CU hype last year. The B1G has more top 25 recruits at QB than the Pac 12 did. They also had way better defenses.
      The B1G dwarfs the Pac 12 in NFL talent. We will see how many B1G championships they get in the next 5 years.

    • @zoam7881
      @zoam7881 Před 2 měsíci +1

      @Tips4Gamers1 Recruits aren't production.
      Caleb Williams
      Michael Penix Jr.
      Bo Nix
      Noah Fifita
      Cam Ward
      Shedeur Sanders
      The Pac-12 was loaded with QB talent, while the Big Ten had JJ McCarthy, and no one else who could be listed on the same level of the above QBs.
      I agree that being in the Big Ten will be nothing but good for TV ratings. Getting to play Ohio State and Michigan is massive compared to USC and Washington.

    • @OfficialT4GSports
      @OfficialT4GSports  Před 2 měsíci

      They are production, which is why they get more players drafted. They literally land better recruits, and send those players to the NFL. They also have won more natties, past and present because of these recruits that produce. Had more playoff appearances, and lead in almost every statistic that you look at when comparing both conferences.
      Penix came from the B1G so they know him very well. The B1G is gaining in QB production and will only get better as the future becomes the present. Also, does CJ Stroud ring a bell?
      The B1G has been landing more and more top-end recruits, and last year the B1G had more top-25 QBs than the SEC did. It is sign of production for the future and the present. The defenses in the B1G blow the Pac-12 defenses out of the water.
      The top three defenses last year were in the B1G. The amazing QBs this last year for the Pac-12 did not face such talent and when they did they lost. Washington can tell you all about Michigan's defense.

    • @zoam7881
      @zoam7881 Před 2 měsíci +1

      @Tips4Gamers1 I agree that in the future, the QB play will get better, but last year was awful. You point out that Penix looked bad in the NCG, and I agree. Michigan's defense rattled him, and he played one of his worst games.
      Tennessee and Missouri scored more than their season average against Iowa and Ohio State. They had good defenses but were also benefitting from playing in a conference with a lot of bad offenses.
      I think this season is going to be great because it will settle this whole debate. If Oregon and USC light up these defenses, I will be proven right. If they don't, I will be wrong.
      As far as the draft, 3/6 of the QBs taken in the first round were from the Pac-12, including the number 1 overall.
      Penix was drafted based on his performance at Washington, not Indiana.

I would be greatly impressed if they won the B1G this year or if they went undefeated during the regular season.
      To the point you made about us not giving them enough credit. I probably could have talked a little more about that things that impressed me. I do think they have an absolute unit of a roster, but the B1G is just dirty football. So many times I have thought growing up that this team or that team shouldn't be able to compete and then they do.
      I love Oregon's coach and players, but this is new waters that they are in so I am more on the skeptical side. I don't dislike them, I think that they are a really good football team. Just want them to show consistency before I crown them the second or first best team in the B1G.

      Nuittany Lions got robbed of a share at least, of the national championship. Undefeated big10 champs and rose bowl winners with Ki-janna Carter running the ball down everybody's throat. Damn I'm blanking if he won the Heisman that year or if he was robbed. Either way they got robbed of a natty that particular year in my opinion. Penn St has been very good since joining the Big 10. I don't think they have quite reached how good they were throughout the 90's, but they were a very tough opponent that I remember as a teen , I would be worried about, because they were that good. Anyway I'm hoping they do not get to that point again for me, even though they are and have been close for well ever since Joe.

      That is true, but that isn't a normal situation for Oregon. They don't usually have this level of QBs and those QBs will have to face tougher competition than what they are used to.

      A couple years back even your Pac-12 champ Utah faced the third best team in the B1G (Penn State) and got beat. They have crap defenses in the Pac-12, less NFL talent, don't recruit at the same level on average, and so many other facts that I already stated.
      Three teams in the B1G scored more and allowed less points against Michigan than UW did against Michigan. UW scored over 60 points on Oregon's defense in two games and UW could only score 13 against Michigan. Crap, Maryland scored more against Michigan and also allowed less points than UW.
      You talk about offenses and literally the B1G sends more offensive players to the league than you guys. Ohio State alone dominates the receiver game and has had way better offenses.

The fact is when you have to take into account that Oregon was mostly on the Pac 12 network where they can’t get normal viewership like the Big Ten would get and the other conferences the fact that they are still even within striking distance of Big Ten teams teams just shows how valuable they are for viewership. It’s not a risk for the Big Ten as far as Oregon because Oregon has been for a while one of the best teams as far as viewership and they do it in spite of the Pac 12, but now that they have a conference that is not holding them back it made nothing but sense for the Big Ten to go get Oregon.

    #1 none of those stadiums is louder than Husky Stadium (capacity just over 70k). Husky Stadium actually held the decibel record of over 133. Neyland Stadium in Knoxville just broke the record at 136 decibels.
    #2 Autzen in Eugene, Oregon has been as high as 127 decibels which matches anything Ohio State, Michigan or Penn State have produced with double the capacity. Oregon has played Tennessee, Oklahoma, Wisconsin and others in Eugene with traveling fans, players and coaches saying it’s as loud or louder than anywhere they have ever played.
    #3 Yes you may have more “drafted” players from the B1G, but it also has more teams and yes has an advantage in trench players drafted, but let’s look at quality skill players and the PAC12, especially at QB, is head and shoulders above the B1G. The styles are different. The offensive and defensive lines usually have the most players, as a group, on the field (with DB being an exception) so it stands to reason that the B1G focuses on both lines of scrimmage has produced more players. But if you look at defensive back, you will see the PAC12 holds their own plus some. Oregon, beginning with Cristobal, has been far more focused on their lines of scrimmage, thus why they were able to come to Ohio State in 2021 and out B1G the Buckeyes in their own stadium.
    #3 Oregon recruits better under Lanning because that’s what he was known for and that’s why he was hired. He was one of the best recruiters in all of college football at Georgia and even recruited QBs and WRs. It had nothing to do with announcing the transition to the B1G. The reason why Oregon was only 16 (per 247) in 2022 was because Lanning did not come over until after he was done coaching in the National Title game as DC of the Georgia Bulldogs. Oregon lost a number of commits that had committed to Oregon to plate for Cristobal so Lanning had to scramble and still had a top 20 class while only having less than half a recruiting cycle. Under Lanning’s first full cycle, he had the #9 class and now the #3 class in 2024 (#1 in the B1G).
    #4 Your lack of respect for the competition in the PAC12 the past few seasons is laughable. In 2022 they had 6 teams finish in the final top 25 poll with only the SEC to match them which was double that of the B1G. In 2023 both Oregon and Washington were top 6.
    This fallacy of the B1G being dominant over the PAC12 is anecdotal and not supported by data. Yes they played different styles, but they are (were) both good conferences. The B1G has been top heavy the past decade. It’s easy to win 10 games when there is only 1 or 2 other teams capable of beating you. The PAC12 was a 6-8 team gauntlet of quality teams with quality QBs and high powered offenses yet Oregon still managed to finish in the top 10 in scoring defense.
    Make no mistake, Oregon is especially ready and built to compete in the B1G. And the likes of OSU and Michigan will regret letting them in.

By the way, OSU had their starting TE, both RBs, and starting WR Jackson-Smith out with injuries that game. Marv also went down with an injury in the 4th quarter and they still almost won.
      They did more on offense with backups than your starters did against Georgia. It also doesn't make sense to hate on the B1G West when Iowa and Wisconsin send almost as many players to the league as Oregon and USC.
      We really love that these Pac-12 teams are joining the B1G, but dang, you guys have to be a little more realistic with how tough the B1G is. You all act as if the B1G is a joke and it just doesn't make sense. Nebraska thought that same thing.

      @@brucebane5602 I will absolutely call that BS. Do me a favor, watch the Oregon spring fame for the first quarter and immediately switch over to the Texas spring game. I thought Oregon was small when I turned them on but was blown away by how small. This happened randomly for me but really exposed how small Oregon is. I already know the consistent size of the Big Ten teams and the speed of Ohio State's receivers and cornerbacks is above the Pac 12's teams coming over.
      Big Ten fans understand they play a season in which any team can trip you up and every game will be physical. The old adage that the Big Ten is slow has been proven outdated.
      You will now have to play a full conference schedule that will beat on you week after week.
      Keep talking Nebraska II.

      @@OfficialT4GSports If Oregon doesn't leave the Pac-12 then neither does Washington and the Pac-12 never dies but that's a whole other discussion. You should check out some of his early interviews. He's commented many times, even before the move to the B1G, about how he and his family were tired of constantly moving around as he bounced between jobs and wanted to finally settle somewhere and felt Eugene was perfect for them.
      Believe it or not, some people don't need to add another figure to their multi-million dollar salaries to be happy and Oregon has literally anything and everything he needs to win a national title, regardless of conference, if he's good enough. Hell, if anything it'd be EASIER for him to win a natty in a weakened Pac-12. Seriously, why leave?
      Also, Mario left to join his alma mater and be closer to family. Slick Willy left because FSU was always his dream job. Helfrich got fired and Chip left for an NFL spot. Before that Bellotti coached for decades until his health sidelined him and before that Rich Brooks coached for decades until time took it's toll on him as well. Oregon head coaches don't really have a history of flipping for paychecks.

    The fact you said that Oregon will not necessarily benefit to the Big Ten conference that much as far as views is the worst take and makes you sound uneducated. Do you know it’s funny this guy talking about how loud some other stadiums are Oregon has one of the loudest stadiums in the country and they have one of the least populated stadiums in comparison to the rest of the top 25. The fact that they are even top five with how small Autzen stadium is just shows how we have the best fans. The funny thing is with schools like Ohio State. It seems like they were more afraid of going to Oregon to play then the other way around because Ohio State would only play us a couple of years ago we went to Buckeye Stadium, which is supposed to be this vaunted place to play again how did that work out? You did get a couple of things right but to act like Oregon is not one of the top programs in the country and that it is a mutually beneficial thing instead of The big 10, doing Oregon a favor which they did not do. I mean, you’ll see when it’s between Ohio State and Oregon for the championship. Oregon is going to do what they have done in the past and in recent memory, they will continue to improve and will most likely be 11-1 or 12-0 when the regular season is over. No one is scared of the Big Ten. They’ve had 3 to 4 good teams for the past few years. No one scared of Ohio State especially not Oregon
