@@BcfcBlock39 always funny to see outside footage. Because in most countries it’s completely separated so not possible to walk with 2 sets of fans in or outside the ground

There's nothing like shouting obscenities at a football match to get rid of your weekly stress. I was in the GML and couldn't actually hear the noise from the Kop as it was that loud there. People were singing 'Fuck the Albion' all the way out onto the street.

Now try to imagine a packed kop in the 70s..50k plus..In the middle up the back & Blues score...Now ya talkin..People losing shoes watches bracelets fags lighters money etc...There used to be young kids still there alf hour after the end of the game mine sweeping the terraces for treasure..!
Them were the days! These all seater stadiums ruined the atmosphere in grounds, St. Andrews was insane before that, it's only good for the big matches now.

I'm not 100% sure of that. Late 80's you had a few singers either side of the fence, at the top of the Kop. And the lads in the back of the Tilton, by the away fans.. but that was it.
Compare that to those first couple of seasons in the Prem, when it was an all seater. Opposing players hated that atmosphere. And even the couple of years leading up to the promotion was half decent.
@@RM-vv9eh fair point about the Premier league era. But I don't agree I'm afraid. For me, nothing can touch those old days of standing, every single game was an occasion regardless of how good or rubbish we were or who we were playing. And everyone sang! It was sensational.
I really hope this safe standing section can help get the place rocking again.

Blues and albion have history together going back to the 70s ...some of the older lot will will tell you .

It would've been a foul anywhere else on the pitch. Clumsy two footed tackle catching the man I think the ref was spot on. Remember the one you got last season for an incident outside of the box -you weren't complaining then.
