Meetings can be a massive waste of time and a very inefficient way to do business. This is especially important if you have a small team and need to move quickly. So I pay attention when I find a tool that can save me time - as time is a finite commodity.
Loom allows me to do exactly that - save time. It’s a screen capture software that allows you to create videos that are hosted online, so when you’ve finished recording your message, you just share the link. It’s super simple, no extra chit-chat, sidebars or unnecessary discussion, just your message delivered succinctly. Perfect for when you want to give instructions or reply to a question.
It is so easy to waste hours on calls or explaining instructions. Multiple times I have come away from a meeting with no clear plan of action by the end. Now I scrutinise everything I do. If I can put a SYSTEM in place, I will.
