[Armored Core 6] Preset AC vs Missions | Ch.3 Pt.4

  • Somewhat of a challenge run, but mostly for fun. Missions are ordered according to the mission replay screen.
    00:00 - Defend the Old Spaceport | STEEL HAZE ORTUS
    ==========
    STEEL HAZE ORTUS is geared towards rapidly building impact to punish with its melee. If the plan works, it can overwhelm opponents. If it doesn't, all those mobility can be ultilised to wait for its arsenal to get off cooldown.
    01:20 - Defend the Dam Complex | STEEL HAZE
    ==========
    A 1v3 that can be dealt as 3 1v1s if we're fast enough, and STEEL HAZE is fast enough.
    04:47 - Historic Data Recovery | INSTITUTE
    ==========
    I don't understand this AC. I want to say it's built wrong on purpose, but it might have some niche I didn't bother to figure out.
    Rather than wrestling with energy management or poor weapon tracking, I just took it on a mission where the AC choice doesn't matter.
    07:14 - Coral Export Denial | BARREN FLOWER
    ==========
    Quite a number of moving key targets, although BARREN FLOWER can catch up to them quite comfortably.
    12:12 - Destroy the Ice Worm | INFECTION
    ==========
    One OPEN FAITH on the screen is already too many OPEN FAITHs. So INFECTION will be taking on the worm instead.
    It's a looong process, but oddly calming.
    My personal rules are...
    + Only preset ACs (including publicly available demo ACs).
    + All preset ACs must be used at least once and at most twice.
    + Do not choose an AC that appears in the mission.
    + No purging.
    + Allow checkpoint retry after a resupply.
    + Ignore mission ranking and embrace the chaos.
    AC choice largely influenced by personal preference, of course.
