  • Discover the HMX Purple Dawn, designed by DY from Unikeys. This video showcases one of the earliest HMX switches with a UPE stem. We test it on the Kohaku and our control keyboard, the Neo 70, to highlight its versatile sound capabilities. See whether it produces a mellow 'thock' or a clear 'clack,' and decide if the Purple Dawn suits your typing preferences.
🎧 Wear headphones to catch every detail of the audio!
We include a control keyboard sound test (Neo70, Aluminum plate, gasket mount, in an acoustically treated room) in every sound test video. This allows you to compare typing sounds across our sound tests. Sound tests are highly dependent on the environment, recording tools, and the playback device. However, we believe that differences in sound can be discerned between recordings.
Thanks ‪@UnikeysOfficial‬ for sending these switches.

Can you elaborate on the actuation tick?

When you place HMX switches next to your ears and press down gently, you may hear a soft click as the leaf makes contact and actuates.

@@ScoopedBar Wasn't aware of this until I saw this video but I do hear it when testing a switch. Definitely isn't noticeable when used on the keyboard. Thanks for the response!
