I am sure you ladies just don't wake up in the morning looking that beautiful. Well, maybe you do, but just learning all the dance choreography, and keeping up with workout and nutrition regimes that would rival those of olympic athletes. The dedication to your craft is just amazing and inspiring for we mere mortals.

Rachel Ren I was a competitive dancer growing up and also did sideline football cheer. Then in college was on the dance team at UGA. We stunted during pregame this year but stunting isn’t super common for us :)

i miss being under the lights, i dont play football nor do i cheer, i play basketball lol. i was so excited to play my freshman year, but it was taken away due to covid, as my city got hit hard with it. qualified for state this year in february, so that’s something to look forward to. we’ll play march 13-15th of 2022.. maybe even go national. ugh. kinda upset with the fact that i only got 3 years left to play. i’m not sure about college yet, anyways, the lights brought back a lot of memories:,))

I never had the chance to do any sport until this year in my 11th grade year. I got to be a cheerleader after wanting to be one since childhood. I saw potential and i feel like with flexibility training, conditioning, and Dance classes I could be almost as good as someone at your level. I just don't know any place that will take me at the age of 17 and stiff. I finally have the confidence to break out of my shell and nothing to put it into. I'm willing to put in the effort and hard work needed to get to my goal. I just need a place that will give me proper training, Because i'm not ready to give up.
Jessica Rabbit Hey Jessica! I’m so happy you were finally able to begin cheerleading! I admire how driven you are. You can try out for Falcons at the age of 18. Reach out to some local dance studios near you and see if they are offering any classes. Keep chasing your dreams and never give up! ❤️
@@brookeferris7158 Thanks for the reply, I'm not sure where to go for training, places i see either say nothing about my age or like the one place i thought i found didn't email back. I'd need a year to train in the areas needed, an I'll likely have to wait till i graduate to do so and hopefully i have found a Quality studio by then.

Francisco H. Hey Francisco! We have 36 girls. We typically learn 2 new routines for each game. We also have tons of “fillers” which are shorter dances that we perform on the sidelines throughout the game!

Hey Lupita! Thank you so much. I definitely think you should. We have girls on the team right now that are older than that. 😊 I would recommend taking jazz, hip hop, and technique classes. You have to have another job to be on the team. The coaches want us to be well rounded and have more to our lives than just cheer. 😊 Hope this helps!!

Ik this is a tad bit late, but ive always wanted to be an NFL cheerleader, mostly ive self taught myself some tricks in dance, and ive also had experience in cheer and gymnastics, anyways what i wanted to mainly ask, was what NFL cheer team do you think would be a good introduction to NFL cheerleading?

I have never tried out for DCC so I’m not sure what the try outs are like! I have 2 friends that have done both so I will have to ask them 😊

Hey! Thank you so much. You should definitely try out :) I would say to try to take as many cheer/dance classes as you can! That way you will be able to improve your skills and gain confidence so you can go to the try outs and rock them!

Michelle Latimer Hey Michelle! Thank you so much for your kind words!! I believe the oldest cheerleader is 38. While we all try to eat as healthy as we can, we definitely aren’t perfect. My cheat meal would probably be Mexican food 😊 We all get ready in our locker room together before the game, so we are always helping each other out with hair and make up, and showing each other new products! My best advice would be to take as many dance classes as you can so you feel more comfortable going into the audition. We focus mostly on hip hop and jazz. At the actual audition, just be confident and give it your all! I would also recommend working on your flexibility. Hope this helps! 😊

Rayyan Cunningham Hey Rayyan! I would definitely recommend doing college dance/cheer. It gives you so many wonderful experiences and opportunities that you can’t get anywhere else! I was on the dance team at UGA and I wouldn’t trade those memories for anything. However, you will LOVE whichever route you choose. It’s amazing to be a part of something so much bigger than yourself!

Hey! Everyone on the team is required to have a full time job or be a full time student in addition to cheering. The Falcons organization wants us to have something else we are passionate about! So it’s definitely doable :)

It might be hard, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t chase your dreams! Might end up being well worth it :) I’d recommend getting into as many dance classes as you can before trying out.
Definitely a challenge but not impossible, go for it!! I’ve only been dancing and cheering for 6 months and am currently trying out for 1 NFL team and preparing for tryouts for another NFL team and an NBA team if I don’t make the team I’m in the middle of trying out for. I’ve been attending a lot of classes weekly and I currently cheer for a semi pro team to help me better prepare. Just takes a certain level of dedication!
