Great tutorial. I would Like to offer a few tips, or a different approach if you prefer:
    - both inner and outer parts of the glass spline can be made at once before lathe, and you can also use inner side for fluid,
    - using mix map with opacity map for the logo might be a better approach, it's faster and there's no need for matching the curve of the logo to the glass,
    - some might find it easier to make ice cubes using chamfer box with noise modifier, this way you get different ice cubes faster.
    - render with refraction on.
This being said, I like your approach on mentioned things, I can see where your method can be quite useful.

Phenomenal tutorial! I had to kick myself in the foot for placing my ice cubes manually in my glass on my project before watching how you just did it. Excellent job sir.

    Nice (and quick) tutorial.
My only problem is with the glass material..it has a wrong IOR
and makes it look plastic. You shouldn't be able to see 2 thin
walls (the inside and outside edge of the glass) looking from the outside
when it's filled with liquid (just google some photographs).
Other than that, nice video and easy and concise :)
