For heroes it's about persevering and not succumbing to temptation, which of course leads to more suffering. Villains are the opposite.

I somehow found the novel version of this by complete accident. I was on WebNovel trying to find this, but nothing came up or so I thought I seen a novel titled “ Lightning Dragon” main character has white hair, red eyes with cool, blue, grey background and red lightning around the main character didn’t think much of it and added it to my library to read later. i’m on chapter 14 now and I am absolutely certain that it is it I haven’t tried looking up the comic version, but I’ll see if there is one on WebNovel. I will edit this later if I do, or do not find anything.
Edit: so I realized I forgot to put the genre and who it’s made by on here so I will go ahead and do that now, so I don’t forget “again” and to make it easier for anybody trying to find this novel and I forgot to mention that one of the characters is named Lily i’m assuming that she’s probably going to be a main character, but haven’t gotten far enough in to know yet but I thought I just go ahead and put that out there!!!
