One of the most beautiful songs ever written, in my opinion!
Amongst the finest Canadian songwriters ever.
Always felt this song is about my wife and I. She's from the US, I'm Canadian. We met at age 12 at a fishing lodge in northern Ontario, both families went back for the next couple years. Didn't see her from age 15-17. Her family invited me up north to stay with them again. We dated for 2 years and were engaged. Then it fell apart. We kept in touch on and off. A few years later, I was in a relationship and she wasn't, then vice versa. Eventually, my wife left and I reached out to her a few months later. She told me her husband left 3 months earlier. A few months later she flew up to Buffalo. That night I took her to Hamilton to see Blue Rodeo.
We have been together now for 20 years. It was just Bad Timing, that's all. 🙂

Blue Rodeo is a singular Band. It isn't drunken broken hearted Country and yet it is. It is distinctly Canadian.

Guys I think Blue Rodeo is one of Canada best ever. The thoughtful lyrics and musical composition is so much better than anything done by anyone even from the South, always be proud of what you have done because it touched so many people. Love your music and fell lucky when I go to you concerts.

I've never liked defining a certain song as "our song" when I've been in a relationship because I think that it eventually ruins a good song. Always considered myself. To be a fairly educated fan of great Music It took watching a Netflix show Heartland.

To make me realize what Agreat Band Blue Rodeo is I cannot believe I have never heard them in the last 20 plus years. I feel as if I was dropped out of a spacechip. I should have been paying more attention. I immediately what 3 CD's and I'm planning to go to the concert to falls casino.
