hey Nova, sharing wisp all rounder build:
combat discipline + arcane avenger for flat 45 cc, 145 or plus range and archon stretch so passive energy and can go as low as 45% efficiency, unairu for Armor and shield strip and for survival keep jumping as per latest invisibility changes it takes 1sec for enemy to spot you, use helminth to subsume off 4th and put roar, nourish, xata, etc.
Note: will o wisp ability is good for spy missions as it does not trigger alarms and provides 3 sec of invincibility.

Wisp is good - but can you last with her at least 2 H vs 9999 mobs? I doubt it =)) SO she is not too good - her stats ( abilities) just are super over tuned . Its DE fault.
PS DE ReALLY needs to balance their frames - that way that each frame will have specific ROLE it SUPPOSE to do!
For example here - Wisp is SUPPORT - so fukin MAKE HER support not - aoe killer frame.

As much as I love Wisp I think it's kind of sad to see that Wisp, being released almost 4 years ago, is the most recent frame that has a distinctive role in a team. Every frame that came after her are either jack of all trades or lackluster. Considering pablo already somewhat mentioned that Citrine is going to be a support frame I hope she'll be Wisp level good
As a Wisp main, I don't want a second Wisp, I want a first Citrine
I mean true with the jack of all trades... I would say she is similar to protea where they both have 1 extremely universally useful support ability that makes them good in any team but they also have very strong damage potential (breach surge/turrets)
No warframe truly defines a single playstyle (except trinity) where they can only do a single thing really well or are only good for 1 mission type. So jack of all trades have to do everything. If they want to go back to raids they will have to rebalance a lot of the warframes to make them viable or we are just going to see wisp/saryn/protea/volt
@@kabe6927 As a Wisp main I think it would be great if Citrine's design learns from what makes Wisp so exceptional. Notably being able to keep yourself alive easily and simple to use buffs that increase team dps. Last thing we need is another support frame that give shield, health, DR or energy. There are enough ways to stay alive and never run out of energy already
@@Legendaryrobot64 yes considering it's 2023, nobody needs another oberon or trinity but I dont have much hope for Citrine if I'm being honest. Recent frame releases have always had this "solo/selfish" kit designs and I expect Citrine to be no different sadly

Meaning what? So, she is.... what? She don't have anything for you to be able to say she is good at that thing.
You can say she is maybe a support in a party, kind of, not really. No atk skills, no defense skills, nothing. She boosts some stats of other players, but not yours and definitely no attack boost, which is most important.

I always wanted to see an augment for her motes that would turn them from 'defensive' motes into 'offensive ones. Like the health one could drain enemy hp inside the circle, green could slow enemies, blue idk. Something that effects the enemies instead of the players, like curses instead of buffs.
Wisp turning herself and others into an Eximus sounds rather on-brand
Sounds more like they would just make a new Warframe.

Just wanted to point out that Archon Strtch works amazingly with her electric mote, giving passive energy income on a frame that doesn’t use that much energy, so you can effectively ignore efficiency and boost up everything else
Plus health mote can reliably proc archon intensify and archon vitality can increase the damage of sol gate's heat procs. I'm weird and put a full 5 set of blue shards for armor to make my archon wisp that much tankier

Seems like a waste of a slot, considering Wisp doesn't need range and the shock mote is rarely worth using.

One of Wisp's greatest strengths is her ability synergy. All of her abilities interact with each other, such as Motes buffing Sol Gate, Will-o-Wisp doubling Breach Surge, and Breach Surge having increased range when teleporting to Motes.
As a Wisp main, it's always fun to see people talk about the one thing we all love on her, no matter how much we go over it. Those big, chunky, beautiful MOTES BABY WOOOOOO

the huge thing about her 2 is that it frees up the slot rolling guard would take on your build

@@Tom-fl8eh It still makes you invulnerable for three seconds on teleport, and you can spam it unlike rolling guard to chain the invuln through status procs.

We're due for Wisp Prime pretty soon, aren't we? I haven't bought Prime Access in a while (because I didn't use the frames featured), but when Wisp Prime drops, Base Wisp is getting fed to the Helminth and replaced with her gilded and bejeweled younger sister.

Either pretty soon or in the summer I think. Its a tossup between her and Hildryn. Hildryn released first so its probably her next tbh.

@@Femba3 Yeah but they don't always release in release order, just look at Inaros and Nezha prime. But a good point I saw was that they will want to release her prime with tennocon since she is so popular.

If we’re going off lore. Wisp prime is technically wisp’s big sister. The primes came before the normal frames according to the lore. I got rid of my wisp for breach surge awhile ago because I knew her prime is coming out this summer. Hildryn in the spring, wisp in the summer, and gauss in the fall. On top of all that, there’s a new update still to come and then duviri after that??? This is gonna be a great year for warframe.

I've been making wisp since pretty much she came out. While never the best frame for any situation, there's never a situation that you'll find wisp not being good at.
Buffing health, passive healing, increased move speed, increased fire speed for greater DPS, armor strip, CC, teleport. Her toolbox is disgusting, and then they added Helminth for extra shenanigans.
She doesn't really synergize with other frames, but nobody is going to complain about a power/duration wisp just making their life easier.
And my final and most valid point: Dat ass.

When I first got the game I kept dying in missions and struggled to do stealth, this was only a little bit after Wisp was first released and I was looking through the Warframes and found Wisp, I looked into her more and she looked amazing so I bought her with Plat (I had like just reached Mars don't judge me) and she hard carried me all the way until Sedna when I started using Revenant. I can't wait for her to get her own Prime, she's one of my favorite Warframes and by far the one I have the most playtime on.

@@surr3ald3sign, is the only way to some frames. Wisp is one, Gauss another, Lavos, Sevagoth , Ash, Hildryn to name a few. Those frames are practically impossible to get by farming because you either need a party to do the missions or have some rank and standing with a faction very difficult to get standing, like Fortuna and Entrati. While, for Entrati is very difficult, for Fortuna it's impossible to reach rank 3 and above. And Vox Solaris also, since you need max affinity with Solaris United.

I've been maining Wisp since she came out, and I still remember when I tried to figure out a build for her. Before her, I usually just copied a build from some big CZcamsr, and I'm happy that I tried to branch out with her.
I finally decided to farm out Wisp last week. I wasn't super interested in her, but as a newer player, gotta get that mastery. So I built her and leveled her, and man, she's alot of fun. I got a skin for her, and been playing her almost exclusively for 3-4 days now lol
Get the fused reservoir augment. You'll love her even more

Wisp impressed me so much during her previews on the Dev Stream that upon her release I just flat out bought her. And I don't regret it.
Enchantments are usually viewed as a magic you place on something and then it does it's thing on its own. Wisp's motes and even her 3 do that perfectly imo.

One thing you missed about Breach Surge is the benefit of sparks radiation damage. It can act as a 2nd form of CC and damage for each target a spark hits but doesn't kill in crowded fights by turning them into addition targets for the mobs. This takes the enemies focus off wisp when you factor her passive regularly blinking her in and out of enemy radar.
She is my go to warframe for anything (spy, survival, defense missions and archon hunts) and having her for the team or solo is incredible. I'm now waiting to put elemental ward on her and just be the most tanky/supportive I can be, plus good dmg😏.
She can't do anything. No def, no atk, no nothing. Mediocre stats at best and mobility average. So, how can you use her at something, anything? She doesn't even have legs to run, she is floating making it very difficult to maneuver her, because every move is not precise, you never know for sure if you are where you're supposed to be.

also note that the shock mote is excellent for spy missions, and usually destroy all cameras on contact
Video on Nekros when? Wisp is yet another Warframe that has more cohesion amongst her abilities that really amplifies her strength. Meanwhile Nekros is the go-to for one purpose, farming, and for other uses requires augments (and other specific mods) for more than just convenience like Wisp's. He's unlike most other frames since people will play him for only one ability and people will happily protect you while you do nothing just to make sure it's always up with how beneficial it is for farming.

Will-O-Wisp still good for navigation uses and invisibility for large groups or high power enemies like Narmer amalgams or cc immune enemies like eximus, and sol-gate can be used in decently high level SP with enough power strength and her synergies. Literally nothing about her kit is bad which is wild
this is such a good channel for someone who has just come back to the game after the best part of a decade and has no idea how the game arrived at its current state

The fused reservoir augment is NOT an auto include for most Wisp builds.
She is worth every second of the grind, can't wait for a prime Wisp!
The only setback to Wisp is the amount of Hexanon that is needed and how you have to complete the war within Quest to fight it.
"She's only meta because of her appearance." Never used her because of it, i was a Mesa main until they introduced eximus. After finally hesitantly playing her after the update, i fell in love with her kit- the healing buff, the speed buff- the dps buff- she is definitely a piece of candy and is now my main. No other frame felt like it
Trinity and Oberon: We're the healing Warframes, we're always useful.
Wisp at Hildryn: Hold my buttcheeks, I'm gonna push these two into irrelevancy.
The augment is def not ab autoslot in most builds, in fact most people advice against it.
Wisp is based on Will-O-Wisps, supposed magical beings made of light or fire that lure travelers into swamps and marshes only to suddenly vanish and leave them lost in the night amongst the many hazards of the wetlands. DE took that general idea and ran with it, making some choice artistic decisions along the way to create an "ethereal enchantress" frame that also happens to have the power of the Sun, probably based on one of the theories about real life Will-O-Wisps. The only one I really know is swamp gas somehow igniting to create lights in the swamp that resembles lanterns, but I'm sure there's something in their mythical lore or actual working theories that involves the Sun.
As for her kit, I agree that it kind of feels mashed together, but the crazy thing is that it works, and has good synergy too. You can teleport to your Reservoirs with Breach Surge, which also doubles it's range; you can pop Will-O-Wisp before you Breach Surge to get a second, essentially free Surge at a second location, and the decoy can actually pick up Motes if it passes through a Reservoir to make it fly faster and therefore further as well as shock enemies nearby; Sol's Gate guarantees proccing Surge Sparks and gains bonuses to damage or a guaranteed Corrosive proc depending on which Motes you have, and you can still use Will-O-Wisp to cloak or reposition without having to exit Sol's Gate. Not only that, but her passive is amazing, Will-O-Wisp gives 3 seconds of invulnerability after teleporting and lets you open Friendship Doors on your own, Breach Surge's Surge Sparks can be procced by the damage from Shock Motes, and Sol's Gate can just obliterate single targets or at very least slowly melt through them while applying Heat and Radiation (as well as Corrosive if you have a Haste Mote) statuses to strip armor while the enemy goes crazy and attacks the nearest thing in sight. Her kit is crazy because it has so. Damn. MUCH. And that versatility is a big part of why Wisp is my favorite frame. That and her... *ass*thetics ;)

Honestly I would love for de to change every invisibility to how wisps works like I'm sure Ivara's deluxe skin and her prime look cool but I can't see them and it would be neat if I could.
Wisp is no joke, the best frame I have ever used, she just does her kit so perfectly and fits amazingly well for any role, her regeneration and shield gating means that she can easily be a damage sponge, her shock mote is seriously slept on as a cheap CC, the haste mote is just straight up extra fire rate and speed.
Will o Wisp can give you up to 5 seconds of unbreakable invisibility, and her decoy draws aggro, she does invisibility better than some stealth frames (Loki, Ivara)
Her breach surge is crazy powerful in terms of CC and damage output.
Hell, I'd even argue that Sol Gate being not as good as the rest of her kit means that you can Helminth other abilities into her kit and make some absolutely broken combos (Gloom Wisp, 95% slow combined with shock motes and the enemies are literally going to be cc'ed for so long it's not even funny)
Wisp is, without a shadow of a doubt, the single best warframe that DE has released, arguably the best designed frame in terms of kit in the entire games HISTORY.

Wisp by far is my favorite "go-to" frame for SP. I have ensnare subsumed over sol gate and one of my favorite melee's is the stropha. Basically, run into a room, ensnare everything, breaching surge, then heavy attack to annihilate everything in like a 2-tile radius lol.
I'm pretty sure wisp has some slight inspiration from the banshee. Her 3 is classic banshee deception and her ultimate is literally a banshee scream
She's literally a Will-o'-the-wisp. Her second ability is even called Wil-o-Wisp
Wisp is my most played frame I have just over a thousand hours and she clocks 35 percent of it. Of note her 2nd can bypass lazer barricades in corpus tiles and pretty good at negating most status procs with the 3 seconds of invulnerability.
I have around 600hrs, +90% Wisp 🙂

Need 5 Wisp Primes to dominate the game asap. Apart from Gauss, I am also a Wisp lover/main and uh...I have some ideas for helminth based loadouts for her already. Which is why I want 5 of her~ 🗿

Unless I missed it, you didn't mention that her Will-O-Wsp ability can go through lasers undetected, that combined with her invisibility makes her extremely good at Spy missions to.
I main Wisp and only play other frames under very specific circumstances (e.g. Trinity for Eidolons). I use Wisp for things you might not expect and may never have seen her do, such as PT and Railjack, because my build is both powerful and flexible. I find good weapons mostly render Sol Gate situational, and I prefer my all around kit to be consistently stronger, so I often subsume "Empower" or "Hideous Resistance" over it. Hideous Resistance is extremely underrated IMO, and I make use of it in many of my builds, including my Eidolon build for Trinity.
I love how using the power of the literal sun is objectively her worst ability

As a Wisp main, I don't use Fused Resevoir. Sure the QOL is nice but I'm losing out on 15% strength from Power Drift. Time saved is not worth the loss of mote strength in my opinion.

I'm surprised to hear that people don't look that highly on will o wisp, and would even consider swapping it out of her kit. That ability alone is 3/4 of loki's kit. You can double tap it whenever you need 3 seconds of invulnerability in a pinch. Why bother with rolling guard? There's no cool down, spam away. Will 0 wisps invisibility doesn't break when you shoot weapons. It stuns enemies when you teleport. And the synergy it has with breach surge is AMAZING. You can get past lasers in spy missions with it too. It's a really good traversal ability in general as well.
I think people need to remember that it's a traversal, a traversal that provides a multitude of useful gimmicks depending on how you use it.. And for a traversal, that's pretty frigging good.
now her ult on the other hand, yeah... I always helmith it out in every build, I just don't have much use for an ability that can't outclass weapons in damage while costing that much energy to maintain. It also hinders wisps movement, and it's damage won't scale well in late game. Really wish they would rework/change sol gate into an exalted beam weapon (with less of a drain than it currently has), so you could mod it and still use the rest of your kit and not hinder your mobility when it's activated.
When you run around with a 700% pwr strength wisp there is not much outside of mid to late steel path that can kill anyone paying any attention, just a shame shock motes scale off nothing and tend to be not something you use outside of said content.
And I still need more red shards to get her to 750-800...

Do you need Comat Discipline? Considering how Wisp can face tank lots of dmg and just go with Growing Power
Edit: I definitely am playing Wisp the wrong way cause I don’t like jumping around so much 😂
@@lerosallyn9279 we are using combat discipline and arcane avenger for flat 45 cc, steelpath enemies at 200+ starts to chew off health so no point of face tanking. Also one thing to note that the formula of damage in warframe is complicated but in short more multiplier are better than single high multiplier and so many weapons can get crazy powerful with that 45% extra cc and the amount of power strength you get from growing power can be replaced with archon shards.
I like jumping as playing wisp definitely not because of her assets.
wisp main here also :D I dont put range on her cause 100 range is enough I feel like :D I go with 350 str 150+ duration and umbra vitality and intensify :D her 2 made me not get one shotted from stupid mechanics all the time u dont even need shield gating or other shit like that with her to survive
@@v1k37 Ah gotcha I usually just run GP even with my archon shards because of Reservoir bragging rights hahaha I also DID NOT conveniently forget that wisp will heal combat discipline even though I said myself that she heals beyond enemy dmg at the level I’m at 🤦🏻♂️
Also, definitely agree about her jumping umm animations. I will say that archwing content is where she shines, esp when you’re speed boosting cause of her umm assets

hey nova did you know if wisp has archon stretch her shock motes will apply the energy regain on other players whether they have archon stretch on or not

I understand your reasoning to why you'd subsume wisp's 2 but I personally find the 3 s invulnerability too valuable, but i think i might try to make a build trying to deal as much damage as possible with the Kamehameha wave . Great video, great channel 👍🏼
I just started playing warframe again like 2 days ago(had to make a new account sadly forgot the info of my old one) and I found wisp in the warframe section and thought she looked interesting. Had no idea how strong she was but I’m definitely gonna be a wisp main and excited for her prime soon

As a Destiny player, motes have a very "conflicted" relationship with me. I can still here the "ding ding ding" in my sleep.

Somthing that wasnt mentioned was that when you teleport to your will-o-wisp, you are temporarily invincible, so wisp basically has her own rolling gaurd in her kit
As far as I know, Wisp is a kill farming/mobility frame, use the teleporter clone to pop right in the middle of a group, spam melee, repeat.
