    Thank you very much Ma. Much love from Ghana. Plus is the nipple point same as bust line? Am a student with a fashion designer, my tutor never mentioned center front or back when I was learning how to ttake measurements. Please help me understand it
    How do you measure center front and back and at what point in sewing do you need to apply those measurements? Do you apply the centre back/ front to dresses that are cut together with the sleeve. Thanks in anticipation.

    • @abujatailor
      @abujatailor  Před 3 lety +1

      It's a gown! I guess you're talking about making it longer?
      The cutting is still the same step, just that you may need to join fabric together to make up for the lenght

    You are such a nice fashion teacher.
    Pls sis Yhinks am a bit confused how you calculated the radius.
    Is it like if my waist is 44 inches
    Then 44 divided by 4 which is 11inches. Then the 11inches again divided by 6.28
    Pls put me through.
    Thanks

    • @abujatailor
      @abujatailor  Před 3 lety +2

      (waist + allowance) ÷ 6.28
      Examples 44+4(allowance) = 48. Then 48÷ 6.28

    Thanks so much for this tutorial. Very informative. I will be making this gown later today I really like handkerchief design either in dress or skirt or blouse.
    Have got a question when you calculated to radius = waist circumference + Seam allowance divided by 6.28
    But when you calculated your radius it was 5.75” but when you wanted to mark this out you took off 0.5” why is that?

    • @abujatailor
      @abujatailor  Před 3 lety +2

      It's allowance, for sewing

    • @yemi5193
      @yemi5193 Před 3 lety +1

      @@abujatailor thanks so much. It makes sense now. I was initially confused because we usually add sewing allowance to measurement but in this case we are removing it. But I now understand the reason for removing it. I’m off to my machine later today to make my handkerchief dress, top and skirt. Many thanks
