I felt so relieved and relaxed when I got rid of the Christmas tree in my living room. I love Christmas, don't get me wrong, but when I put away all the Christmas decorations it made me feel so much better. More room in my living room and light coming through the windows! A whole new and fresh home! I Love it!

As my mom would say your house is not dirty. It’s lived in. It’s not that bad at all. I have had days like that. Fitted sheets I have no clue how to fold them haha 😂. Your bedroom set looks like a dream, very lovely. I myself don’t decorate for Xmas. What I do instead is decorate for the winter season so my decor stays up until the end of February or sometimes as late as May because I love the snow ❄️ and winter. It sticks around longer where I live in Canada.
we just redid our kitchen cupboards, countertop etc and I got a sink like yours. I will never go back to a double sink. I love the larger one that you and i both have!!

I would prefer the single as I too use our dishwasher for 98% of our dishes. I too, like you, prefer to wash my knives, pots and pans and non dishwasher safe items by hand. The single sink would make that chore so much simpler. I live in an Amish house and I'm so ready for a kitchen makeover. I want the granite counter tops which will make clean up so much easier. Right now we have a very rough kitchen with mismatch everything. I've lived with this for over 21 years. Now we are ready to remodel our kitchen and I'm so ready for an updated one.

We love our double sided sink. In fact. Our first house when we rented had a single sink, and when we bought a home, a double sided sink was a requirement for me. That being said, I’ve never had a dish washer :/. So that makes a huge difference. Also. The peppermint scented mrs Meyers items are my jam right now.
I used to insist on having a double sink. Once I got a dishwasher though it became less important and is actually such a pain to clean bigger things. So ready for a single basin sink!!

I cannot fold a fitted sheet either! I watch the CZcams videos, follow the directions, but it still comes out wrong!😂😂😂
I am a fitted sheet master!! The trick is the line up the corner pockects, cupping them inside one another. Everything else falls right in place, it will fold as flat as the flat sheet. I promise, you'll even get them confused when you go into your linen closet when using them again.

Folding fitted sheets are easy.....I actually seam match corners lengthwise first, then fold once. Seam match again where all corners fit inside together.....then I fold the bit to make a straight line, then fold to where it’s a nice flat square and matches in size to a folded fitted sheet.

I can’t fold fitted sheets either. I roll them until they look folded, fold the flat sheet, and all but one pillowcase. I slide everything into the one pillowcase I didn’t fold. Helps keep sets together, but it also saves a ton of storage space and is easy to just grab and go.
Yes! When I put sheets away long term I do that too! Such a great trick!
I live in central Mexico in the highlands 6000+ feet, no snow warm during the day but really cold at night low 40's. your home is beautiful.
We moved back into our forever home during the holidays after being away for 16 months so our Thanksgiving and Christmas were spent doing that but I still have such a mess - so,,,,,, you have inspired me to get up and get going with all of the unpacking and cleaning - thanks a lot (yeah right). I LOVE my single basin! My husband and I bought a black single basin - the black sink matched the specks in my granite so I tried something different - but I have loved not having a divide in the sink, it has made washing pans so much easier!

Useful tip. Put ice cubes on the carpet rings ( where your old cubes were) at night and then fluff the carpet in the morning.

Single basin sinks are a game changer! LOVE mine. It came with an insert rack at the bottom so pots and pans do not scratch. I did not care for it initially, but now that we have used the kitchen for 5 months, I can see the value.
Oh, and I have no clue how to fold fitted sheets (nor the patience to do it to perfection)...😂

Yes!!! My house is just now getting back in order. I feel so overwhelmed when it’s like this but the kids had a great Time playing with everything so I let it slide a couple of days!!🤦♀️🤷🏼♀️😬
There is a Ross locally near me, that is reached by bus. Just went to it after watching you organizing cupboards, just to see what they had. Instead of finding organizers, found a Climb Cart for only 10 bucks, that’s half of the original price. And it being Tuesday, they took an additional 10% off the price.
Match the corner seams of the fitted sheet on each end. Then put all four together, seams lining up. Use the end of the seams as the side (it's ok if it's folded over a bit) then fold as normal.
Hope that helps. Easier to show than to explain. Lol. It just takes practice, but once you get it...you'll never forget. Good luck

I love ur videos, I replay them n listen while I'm cleaning n that helps keep me motivated to get things done! As for ur fitted sheet folding, my Aunt Jennie used to work at a hospital n taught me how! Take 2 of ur pockets n put them inside out n put them inside the other 2, then fold it inward where it ends up looking even where u cn fold it like a regular sheet! I'm sorry if I didn't gv enough details, I've never given advice on here! Gd luck!

Hi! We have a single basin farm sink in our kitchen, and an old fashioned single basin cast iron sink in our pantry. I love the single basin, and would never go back to a double sink again. It's a dream when doing large pots and pans, or when you need to bathe your sweet little grandchild after they've eaten spaghetti. ♥

We're leaving our Christmas decor up a little later this year so my best friend can come get some family photos up in front of our tree. But, I must say, I'm going a little stir-crazy with it still up. We had to go out and get new totes for all of our decor this year too. Most of my bins were OG from when I first moved out of my parents house so I spent a little extra money on the sturdier ones that are red/green so they would be easier to spot in storage. I love your new bedroom furniture, by the way. It seems to fit your simple, chic way of decorating your home perfectly. It's lovely.

Omg I’ve been in the same rut. I thought it was just me. 😂 this video is giving me such motivation though! In 2019 I’d like of course after dark cleaning, it’s so peaceful and calming and I’m a night owl! I recently just bought the reusable wipes from dollar tree that you used to use back of the day and I love them! Wishing you and your family lots of health, love, and happiness in 2019!

I never understand why people dont mount their tv on top of the fireplace. It looks so much nicer and aesthetically pleasing that way, but to each their own. Great video
I think we just wanted the fireplace to be for decor and don’t distract from the prettiness of it with a tv, but so many do that, so definitely a preference thing♥️ and another reason we didn’t was the way we had to set up our couch, the tv would be super awkward to see . 😘 I’m so happy you enjoyed the video and have a sweet day girl!

I saw Marie Kondo fold a fitted sheet by laying it flat and then folding each side to the middle instead of trying to fit the corners inside each other. I tried it and it is so easy!

Your before is like my house on a good day 😂 I work outside the home and have two kids two and under so it gets messy quicker than I can clean! You always motivate me to do what I can though 😊
I have a large Shaws original farmhouse apron sink almost 40 inches wide. With one large basin and a smaller single to the side, so I guess it's the best of both worlds. I love it, it's my dream sink. If we ever move, though I would choose a single basin. It's so much easier to wash large items like cookie sheets etc.
