How to 3D print the Saturn V launch with animated flames

    SATURN V - The most powerfull machine ever built by man !
    In 1969, launched Apollo 11 which was the first mission to land men on the moon...
    This video shows how to 3d print and paint a 40'' (1 meter) tall Saturn V launch with flames controlled using WS2812b programmable pixels and an Arduino Nano.
    It was printed during 1 week using a Creality Ender 3 and BQ Easy Go Pure White PLA.
    The 3D model is a mesh of several models found on Thingiverse. I've gathered the best parts of each one and made my own modifications using Tinkercad.
    The flames are made with 1 meter ws2812b leds (60 leds/m) cutted in 4.
    Uses an Arduino Nano with a script to simulate fire flames, based on the code Danal Estes made for a Falcon Heavy model.

    Looks AWESOME!i am in the process of painting the black markings on my 1/144. The lighting on yours looks great. It’s too bad that it’s not a bit brighter. Sweeeeeeet!

      Thanks !!! Don't know how much filament used but it wasn't much. Maybe 300-400 grams. The all print is completely hollow.

      @@RMCV_CHANNEL One more question, how did you print the smoke? I mean, what's the best way to do it? Did you use supports inside?

      @@Masetto93 the smoke is printed without supports and with 2 perimeter shells max to allow the light to see through. And use white pla.

    What colour did you use for the smoke?

      Printed in white PLA and applied some black shadows using the airbrush. And that's all I've done on the smoke plume.

    Boas... Queria imprimir isto mas os ficheiros no thinginverse, não sei se todos, mas pelo menos alguins, têm problemas. Apresentam buracos e outras falhas, mesmo corrigindo via netfabb. Podias ver se há alguma diferença entre os ficheiros que estão no thinginverse e os originais? Não fosse ocorrer algum problema no thinginverse.

      Viva ! Estive a confirmar e os ficheiros parecem-me bem. Fiz download de alguns e no simplify3d não encontro qualquer problema. Estás a imprimir à mesma escala ? Se o fizeres as paredes podem ficar demasiado finas e surgirem os buracos. Eu imprimi com layers de 0.1mm e noozle de 0.4mm. Estás a fazer o mesmo ?

      It was printed on a Creality Ender 3 using PLA with these settings:
      0.4mm noozle, 0.1mm layer height, 90mm/s
