    Very informative video. G’job. Quick Q’s: Did you apply the D shape seal and foam to the front of the tops (location where the tops meet the windshield)?

    Have you done a car wash test since adding the additional stripping? I’m concerned that the additional D shaped tubing and stripping actually changes the position and the security of the hard tops. Looking forward to your response.

      I haven’t. There were/are no leaks with rain. I usually wash it myself but the vehicle got too dirty with all the snow, so took it to automated car wash. I will update it if take it for a wash again

      @@diyrags8045 I’m running a mic 2.3 Sasquatch. Definitely noises. Do you see a significant reduction in the interior noise? I’m going to use a sound meter in my phone to check before and after measurements

      Did you apply the rubber to the panels or to the truck? It seems to me applying to the truck would be the easiest and also have the most longevity?

      There is noticeable wind noise reduction after these changes. Before these changes, it used to feel like there is a window open somewhere

      All the weather seals are applied to the panels, rear shell

    To piggy-back on user is1y Q, the strip you placed on the front side of the tops nearest the windshield, did you notice any disruption on water control? Those are the water channels and I was wanting to know if you had any issues with it. Also, can you post what/where you got the weather stripping from?
    Great video. Good luck.
    Great video

      I did not notice any water leaks. The D shaped insulation was from Amazon. The other insulation that went into the front side of the top is a pipe insulation. I got it from home Depot and cut it in half

    2024 , how is the wind noise today? Have you considered doing an 2024 update video? Please reply.

      Yes, after this mod, no leaks in the carwash. The tube foam is pipe insulation

      Yep, it’s very livable now. I plan to dynamat the doors, floors and possibly the roof panels as well

    Where did you use the Z weather strip?

    • @diyrags8045
      @diyrags8045  Před rokem +1

      I was planning on using it on the rear shell where it meets the c pillar. But in the last minute I decided to use the foam insulation on the c pillar itself
