Look at drafts under Bill Walsh. Every year it seemed like they drafted 2 + linebackers and many cornerbacks, many running backs. They just kept making picks until they hit on a good player. Some years they drafted horrible. Some years they hit big on players. Really if we can gain one or two legit players each draft we making progress.
Would love to see Huff and Womack on the field together forcing turnovers. Defenders who have a nose for the ball are special.

Steve Smith loves Cowing but Smith LOOOOVVVVVEESSSS Pearsall. Pearsall was one of Smith's top WRs this year

The reason Pearsall did not have a lot of TDs and yards is because he doesn’t break a lot of tackles.

Missing a all pro safety was big for the defense. Niners db's will be better this year. We got to fight injuries like all teams. Niners are really deep this year. Big pressure year on coach to win the big one.
Gentlemen I respect you both. But I feel I am A lone in my feeling that Mr. R P does not catch the ball. He does a lot of things well, route running, toughness but as I go back and watch all his games a lot of balls bounce of him...and drops...reason for his high light plays he was targeted on most of their plays. a lot of balls got thrown in his direction his last year of college. I saw him doing the same thing in rookie training camp.

Hufanga is a good pass defender? When did this happen??? Dude is a straight up liability against the pass. That’s all there is to it. Been burned sooo many times. Now if you wanna say he’s good against the run, then yeah, that’s accurate. But he’s terrible as a pass defender. Everything Larry said was spot on.

Ricky route running is better then cowings and most likely has better hands , how you run routes to find the soft spot in zone and being a reliable catcher is way more important then running go routes with speed imo . Cowing is a beast tho not trying to take anything away from him

The TD argument for Pearsall isnt valid, Aiyuk only had 11 career college TD's (3 & 8) in 2 seasons. Also FL QB only threw 20 TD's all year and WR's only caught 12 of them so there wasnt much opportunity

They really gonna be better? Armstead is gone, Greenlaw injured, Warner and Bosa a year older. None of the younger guys have established themselves. I could see them being worse.....
