Ahhh! I enjoyed this so much! It's authentic and it feels good to see content that looks similar to my planning habit. Although I enjoy seeing the absolutely perfect clean well organized spreads of different hobonichi channels I really enjoy seeing more realistic laid back planning. I love your flip through. I recently bought a Hobonichi planner (the black cover), to use as my journal. I really like the tomoe river paper. It’s really thin but durable.

I'm back in a Cousin after a long hiatus (my first and last was a July-start Cousin Avec in 2020), and I went for the April-start because I wanted to try starting my year with the spring instead of in winter when I'm still feeling all hibernatey. However, I am experiencing that thing where I'm afraid to write in it because it's like I think I'll ruin it or something. I've gotten Cousins every year since 2020 and have always sold them because it's like the pressure was too much! WTH. Watching your video and seeing blank spreads really made me feel like THIS IS OKAY. Liked and subscribed. :)

The minute i saw your chipotle receipt i was like, ok I gotta follow her! I just got back to the hobonichi cousin this year and while the dailies are working for me, im struggling to figure out my weekly so my weeklies end up looking very empty 😞
Haha the chipotle receipt! And I totally know what you mean, my weeklies are a struggle these days too!! I may or may not have just bought myself a ton of character stickers in an attempt to fill them up more.... no comment 😄
I love your media memories for your monthlies. New subbie. You’re almost to 1k 😀 yay!! I use the weeks as a memory keeping planner/journal. Tried the cousin, sadly it was too large and I feel awful for wasting it (I’ll repurpose the paper for my journals because I’m a no waste girl). If anyone made a b6 slim “cousin” I’d buy it on the spot! Sterling ink made a b6 so close! I like your daily journaling pages too. Yes! I’m like this where my brain needs a notebook of business ideas. I actually have a notebook titled business ideas. I want my teenager to help me with my business so that she can get experience of being an entrepreneur. I love how you did your math lol. I help my high schoolers with their math and scribble in my planner if they don’t come to me with scratch paper. I don’t follow the moon cycles, but I have a muscle disease /spinal cord disease and there are times (barometric pressure) affects my pain moreso. I didn’t realize this video was 3m old. I’ll scroll through the more current ones.

They are hit or miss for me! Either PERFECT for what i need or I totally wasted space.

thanks for sharing! IDK if it was already asked but what pen do you use for your Hobonichi?
No problem! The main pen I use a uni jetstream in 0.5. The body is one of the multi-tip bodies from Jetpens, so I have a few different colors and a pencil tip included. I also use a variety of tombows. Let me know if you have any other questions!
You have a sword sticker on April 17 to mark d&d. Where is it from?
It's actually a sticker of a little knife, and it came in a Paperaica sticker sheet featuring that little witch character who is on the same page. Her shop is on etsy!

they sure are intimidating 😵
Planner vids can be so inspiring and relaxing, but there’s a balance. On the one hand, viewers like myself want to watch them & listen for the visual impact. On the other, the unnecessary hand gymnastics and flexing is so annoying.
Alot of you need to take a cue from tcmc on her vids. She may not be the “one size fits all” on the planner scene (her style certainly isnt mine), but she’s one that hasnt fallen into this weird and frankly, contagious habit of hand splaying/flexing, freakish and grotesque playacting. She just does her thing.
