the inclusion of the clean vocals puts this band over the top for me, such a great balance between her guttural screams and his singing

This is the music what teens of early 2000's need now, not only because the nostalgia but because what we still feel when listening to this music, lyrics and anger. I still need to scream to the world that I'm not happy with what life has became now.
when I met these dudes, they were some of the coolest and nicest people ever. overwhelmingly talented as well
I never had liked post hardcore or metalcore much, cause I grew up surrounded by heavily commercialized versions of it that felt completely removed from the spirit of DIY that I loved so much about HxC. SYSC is the first band that made me realize how much of a fucking idiot I was being. Every song is so damn emotional and goes hard as fuck. Connie is such a genuine and honest person who doesn't hide her struggles, many of which I share, especially with being trans and being a lifelong addict.
