The Best of Paganini

- Niccolò Paganini, born on October 27, 1782, in Genoa, Italy, was one of the most celebrated and enigmatic composers and violinists of the 19th century. His extraordinary talent and virtuosity on the violin earned him the nickname "The Devil's Violinist" due to the incredible rumors that surrounded his performances.
From a young age, Paganini demonstrated a natural affinity for music, particularly the violin. He received his initial violin training from his father, who recognized his son's exceptional abilities and arranged for him to study with renowned violinists of the time. His dedication and intense practice paid off, leading to his first public performance at the age of 11.
As he matured, Paganini's reputation as a violin prodigy spread throughout Europe. Audiences were astounded by his astonishing technical skills, which pushed the boundaries of what was thought possible on the instrument. He had an uncanny ability to execute breathtakingly difficult passages and create mesmerizing melodies, earning him the admiration of both music enthusiasts and fellow musicians.
However, Paganini's eccentricities and reclusive nature only fueled the myths surrounding his persona. Tales of him selling his soul to the devil for his virtuosity added to the aura of mystique that surrounded him. In reality, his unparalleled talents were the result of an unyielding dedication to practice and innovation.
Besides his exceptional skills as a performer, Paganini was also a prolific composer. He wrote numerous works for the violin, including concertos, solo pieces, and chamber music. His compositions often showcased the technical brilliance and expressive depth for which he was renowned.
Despite his fame and success, Paganini faced personal and financial challenges throughout his life. He was known for his extravagant lifestyle and gambling habits, which led to significant financial difficulties. However, his unwavering passion for music remained a constant in his life.
Paganini's health declined in his later years, and he battled various illnesses until his death on May 27, 1840, in Nice, France. Despite his passing, his legacy as one of the greatest violinists and composers of all time lives on. His contributions to violin technique and music composition continue to inspire generations of musicians, and his name remains synonymous with virtuosity and artistic brilliance.

i had to scroll a long way to find any timestamps and almost gave up. thanks for taking the time to do this. it would be nice of the uploader added this info to the description
It's amazing to think that all these greats had no idea that there would be inventions to record and preserve their music and that their wonderful compositions would be played back, listened to and enjoyed by millions of different people, all over the world, until the end of mankind.
ThatsNotGravy ok this comment was made 2 tears ago, but isn’t music sheets where and are for?
ChopOnce I agree dude
Only took 2 years for someone to say it :D
I like the way you think.😀you're talking about technology? Right?
I'm 14 years old (almost 15) and I wish my generation would like this kind of music. The real musical art is this.
I remember when I was little I was very ignorant, I always got bored of listening to classical music, but you realize that it's beautiful over the years
Me too! I realize the beauty of classic music when i'm 12. I'm almost 15 now!
Bueno...
you are very good kids !!
you should check out twoset if you haven't already... i'm 15 myself and i've met so many people that have the same mindset or love for classical and the community is super welcoming and awesome too!
Musical art is not restricted to one single genre. As much as I personally don’t like or enjoy current (or for that matter most era’s) pop music, one can’t deny it’s artistry and it’s appeal. Though of course some of that is down to marketing. I think one of the things keeping new generations of people from enjoying classical music is this perceived snobbery or it, and it doesn’t help that often people who do enjoy classical music act in a particularly snobbish way, dismissing any other musical style as base and not artistic and suggesting people must be ignorant for enjoying it. Less snobbery, more accessibility. Though I’m sure many of the classical gatekeepers would also get upset if it became popular too.
I'm only 2.5 days old, and i wish people of my generation listened to this music!
my parents are still in the process of conceiving me, and I will totally be born in the wrong generation!
I'm listening this in the year 2525
Gabriel Gutiérrez not even. get on my level. i am watching in the star year 1345.09783.2885024.97496
***** Dude, I don't even have a chance! D:
Have the Spanish taken over?
Paganini was so much ahead of his time. Some thought he made a deal w/ the Devil. They couldn't believe a man could play this Awesome and Fast. Thank you Niccolo!
To niebiańska muzyka
He did!!!
The last movement of Concerto no.2, La Campanella is beautifully interpreted. Congratulations at the violinist and at the maestro!
Thanks
I read somewhere that in Paganini's time nobody else could play some of his compositions, he was that great. Thank you for bringing this great music to UT and our enjoyment of it.
Thank you :3
claro el don era de el ,
maravilloso
He had Marfan Syndrome. It affects the connective tissues in the body and made his fingers very flexible. Many of his works are still considered borderline impossible today.
Rick Casparriello I made nearly the same comment, and was thanked by Paganini, himself. He didn't mention the syndrome. Perhaps he isn't keeping up with modern physiology and it's aberrations. Thank you for your comment. I didn't know that about the great violinist and composer.
I never knew about Paganini and now I'm discovering all of his work! This is so awesome! Discovering new things is what keeps me alive
He conducido durante muchísimos años oyendo a Paganini.... y he sido feliz en mi trabajo.....gracias Niccolo....donde estés
Paganini was so good and odd that some people who listened to him thought he sold his soul to the devil. That's how good he was.
he did.
There is no devil, or God; there is only nose hair.
the Devil and God are the same entity
Puertecitos68 Stop hurting my feelings.
ali veli you have no idea what im talking about.
I studied playing violin when I was 7 years old, even though this time my country was very poor and we had not got enough food to eat. And the reason for a patient to pass over difficulties is optimism from his music and his life. Thank you for my love musician!
I’m so glad his music made you happy. I hope you are doing better now 4 years later :)
Paganini also played guitar as well. Now it all makes even more sense. Fantastic musician and composer.
He was amaze balls with all strings. Lol 5 years ago :).
The best talent ever.
I don't know ladies and gentlemens, but did any of you make any research about the talent Niccolò Paganini?
The century, the country, the background, the skills, the environment and etc. around the world since the violin existing on earth and the music became one of the wonders of the earth...
Let me tell you something, He is amazing/awesome from the first since last work which he was able to write/play, and the most amazing thing is that nobody was able to compete with him, is able today and believe or not no one can do it even until the end of the world.
No matter he looks like( because no body from us was there to know him), he's the greatest and will remain the same.
We need to appreciate that and to pass the history to our childrens, so they will develop in harmony knowing the gifted people from the past and living nature, listening a quality music.

Paganini is so fun to listen to!
His music caresses the Soul. Such beauty moves one to tears. Pure genius!

+WILIAM JOSE Paredes Que definición tan buena y concreta.

Fantastyczne wykonanie. Dzięki!!!
I love paganini so much . He is a God of all violin players .
Probably history will record Paganini as the greatest violinist of all time. If not, then in our time it will be Jashua Heifitz or Itzhak Perlman.
Jim Millen
Sorry, it's Hilary Hahn.
@@raymondwilcox1303 No, it is Paganini. He revolutionized technique & composed some of the most beautiful music I have ever had the pleasure of listening to. Remember, the legendary status of a musician is not solely about their technical capabilities; we also must take into account their influence, contributions, and compositional output.
I wish there was a recording of Paganini playing his own peice, no matter it's not the best qualatied recording....
Jiyee Jen Ahn isn't this. him. plaYing?

Saludos!
Rafael V. Orellano
Ok.no me ofendi

i didn't really understand paganini some years back, i thought his caprices were just too fast and i dunno. it felt too sophisticated for my teenage brain i suppose. BUT NOW. o man, i simply love love love all his stuff, it's just too good. and watching people play his compositions, that gives me such a sense of wonder at what a human brain managed to create and how another human brain manages to play such wonders wonderfully. how can i express the goodness of paganini? that's right, i can't, it's too great
Awesome.
This is a long program 1hr 15 min. Hope you enjoy Paganini - beautiful music.
