For anyone judging the home owners, mice can get in to your home through the tiniest of gaps and it has very little difference if your house is messy or not. If theres a way to get in, they will find it.
Basically, all they care about is that it is safe from predators and elements, and that there is food. So... Basically any human home without a cat (and even many with cats if the mice figure out that the cat won't bother them)
Our whole house was infested, and my bedroom contained one of the main nests. The mice would come out while I sat in there and they would sit on my feet or legs and clean themselves. They had zero fear of me. I could constantly hear them. We put out mice repellent and they ate it and used it as bedding. We put out a bunch of humane traps and caught about 12 but they wisened up fast. My grandpa put out a bunch of kill traps (quick ones) as a last resort and only two mice fell for it. They outsmarted every single trap we put out, while still somehow getting the treats. Pretty sure they were super nice. They eventually moved out on their own, but it was about a year and a half of this. We'd wake up with mice on our faces or in our hair.
I used to work for a house call doctor who cared for home bound elderly patients. One woman was completely bedridden and she had diabetic neuropathy so she couldn’t feel her feet. Apparently she also had a mice/rat infestation and they would come out and chew the meat off of her feet while she was sleeping. It was absolutely horrendous.
I got a couple of Mouse Motels to catch a tiny field mouse that one of my cats brought home very much alive. He didn't appear to have any injuries, so I gave him some fresh water and set him free in long grass not far from my house the next day. I named him Steve and I hope he's doing well!

I found a little mouse in a home I lived in years ago. We trapped it and released it a far distance away hoping it wouldn’t come back.. but now I’m thinking I separated it from its family 😢
I mean, they’re prey animals. If they become prey, so be it, that’s far better than a painful death in a trap just to be tossed in a trashcan to rot. Regardless, they are far better survivors than you give them credit for. Sorry, but this isn’t the gotcha comment you think it is, it’s very unoriginal actually
That's a good idea but if you catch them alive and let them go somewhere else they will go in someones else's house and then probably find a deadly trap just saying it's probably easier to use normal mouse traps that kills them
Unfortunately, a lot of people haven't been educated on the cruelty of most mouse traps. She can't help what happens to the mouse after she releases them, and I'm pretty sure she releases them around the forest where it won't be easy to sneak inside another residence.

Mice are so cute, I remember at my old house there were a whole bunch of mice and there was a mouse hole like the ones from Tom and Jerry by the fireplace with little tiny/sticky foot prints trailing inside. I remember that one running across my foot and into that little hole. Then it got into our honey jar and drowned :( we also had another one behind our fridge, if had brownish adorable like freckle markings on its back and we caught it and released it. The nest behind our fridge was made of the ruffles and laces from my cute little baby shirts, as well as the fake hair stuff you put around your bun on your head for ballet. That other mice had a nest in our Ac/heating vent in the car. There were babies in the nest and I don't remember what happened to them. We probably let them go. Mice are a huge part of my infant/toddler/childhood. ❤
Sticky traps are considered extremely inhumane. ☹️ She is trying to be as gentle as possible without killing, or mentally/physically traumatizing the poor babies.
I work in attics, basements, and crawl spaces ranging from 1700s to brand new. Every house has mice in them. It doesnt matter how clean you live they always get in
What I don't understand is.How come these mice don't bite you?? I doubt I could pick up a wild mouse in my house or outside of my house It not have the crap bitten out of me
Why are you so pressed by a situation that doesn't even concern you. You don't live there, you don't really have much of a say on this place's affairs.

For those wondering these are deer mice they are native.
You can tell by the white bellies and brown color.

At my dads house we keep on getting mice in our barn and our house and we put traps but we only got like 6 of them 😢 there is like hundreds of them.

Who’s to say they’re not coming right back in cause you’re feeding them
